Something Truly Bizarre in Kazan
« on: August 09, 2012, 03:16:35 AM »
If this was in a Russian newspaper I'd dismiss it as another incredible made up stories Russian media are known for, however this is from the UK Guardian.  An Islamist sect has been found living in an underground bunker on the outskirts of Kazan Russia.  The sect was believed to have been underground for about a decade. Many of the 20 children were born underground and some had never seen daylight. Russia home to some truly strange events.

I was just about to create a thread about this when I noticed Bill beat me to it.  There is also a detailed article about this here:

Some of the children, aged between 1 and 17, have never seen daylight, health officials said.

... Satarov, a former top imam in the neighboring province of Bashkortostan, declared his house outside Kazan an independent Islamic state. He ordered some 70 followers to live in cells they dug under the three-story building topped by a small minaret with a tin crescent moon. Only a few sect members were allowed to leave the premises to work as traders at a local market, Russian media reported.

Never forget that the following pictures show the mega building that now stands in Makka or Mecca - a clear metaphor that it is only a matter of time - today Mecca - tomorrow the world!

Yep, with talk like that and a few Second Amendment defenders will look for another turban wearing place and let them know what they think of their stay in America.  :'(

Cuffy,

this has nothing to do with religion.  Self proclaimed 'prophets' exist all over the planet...

IIRC there was a similar case in the US.. but don't have the time to research.

It's abuse and that's that.

It's also just been reported on the ITV news with video of the house and underground tunnels.

All very disturbing although, on a positive note, the children were reported as being in good health

Good one BC. And then again, when did he ever had any credibility?  :8)
