Exactly. Just remember, if you don't do your homework you'll be wasting your lessons. Your homework is your revision and vocab building/reinforcement, if you don't do all the stuff that you can do independently, your lessons will be wasted on revision, or slowed because you need reminding of things that should be foundation.
I've been hitting the books again, and thankfully everything comes back pretty quickly after a few months off. Reading the New Penguin Russian course, Russian; A self Teaching guide, and Ultimate Russian; Beginner-Intermediate simultaneously. A lot of it is revision, but they all seem to go about the lesson structure in a similar way, so if I don't understand something, one of the other two books will give me a different perspective. Cases still screw with me pretty hard, but I'll overcome that.
If I can get a stable internet connection out at this mine site, and if I'm able to schedule such things, I'll look into a skype tutoring program, because I agree, doing it with a native is invaluable.
[Edit] Oh, yeah that book Mendy recommended is in the mail, but is going to take 16 billion years to get here, so these e-books should tide me over.
