How long until marriage?

(1/2) > >>

doc holiday:
For the most part, it seems as if WM-FSUW relationships move at a faster pace than WM-WW relationships for practical (money/distance/you want to snatch her up before someone else does) reasons.  I would like to know how much time you spent with your lady (or how far into your relationship it was) before you proposed (assuming it was you and not her) and how long it was until you were married.  How much different do you think the timeline is for FSUW and WW with regards to marriage.  I understand timelines could vary by age.  I also understand that in some countries immigration issues (fiance visas/etc) will mostly determine the duration from proposal to marriage.

Rasputin:
Met in May, we saw each other daily until end of August, she flew to Canada in September. We were married end of October.

BCKev:
We also met in May. Spent about two months together over a few visits. Proposed in September, and were married in April. We came to Canada a year after our wedding.

Donhollio:
5 weeks. With the mindset that if things went wrong during the sponsorship process, it could be discovered and disolved before she landed in Canada.  It'll be two years this September, and she still ain't here.  >:(

TomT:
We became aware of each other in April,
spent two weeks together in May,
spent three weeks together in July,
spent three weeks together and became engaged in September,
interviewed at the consulate in December,
spent two weeks freezing our butts together in January,
she arrived at JFK in April
and we married shortly thereafter.
