Hi,

I am toying with the idea of setting up a travel agency in the Ukraine, I have heard from a local lady who arranges deals with hotels for her travel company that you would need to be a license operator by the Ukrainian government,

Does anyone know a good "commerce law"  lawyer in the Ukraine?

Why Ukraine ?  In all my months spent there setting up a agency never entered my mind. There's just too many pitfalls in doing so IMO.  First you have a huge language barrier, unless your fluent in Russian of course. Without a very trusted employee ( best to have a wife) do all the work, otherwise they may skim from the coffer. Read my TR where I purchased  2 dozen or so names with full info from a agency for $100 USD.  The owners were running it from a another country. You would need to be there every hour to be sure they are not stealing, making backdoor deals with clients and girls, and logging all the daily activitys. It's a minefield, poverty can turn even the most honest into taking a few euro's here and there.
Why not try Moldova, once you have a handle on the above, it's almost a wilderness for the bride seeker. :coffeeread:

Have I misunderstood something, or was Jean-Claude mentioning a TRAVEL agency?  :innocent:

Leaving Russia is not an immigration, rather an evacuation.

I think "Donhollio," was having fantasies about the potential of starting the Ukrainian version of a charter based 'Mile High Club airline'.

That could work ECR...that could work. What better way for a Yank to break bread with his newly minted K-1'er within the first week !   :chuckle:
