Tomorrow ( my day off work ), i will be posting my next set of questions, or should i say puzzles, because the next bit is where it gets really puzzling for me , and I'm not joking ???

OK We are waiting  :scared0005: :chuckle:
:reading: Thanks Mark tiphat.

To be honest, I'm greatly relieved that your "waiting", the thing is, there as been a development this morning....

Sometime ago Chris was kind enough to send me a email, in this was a link to the Visa application form i required, along with his telephone number should i require any further help, i made a note of his number, but somehow i have since deleted this email and lost the link, this morning having navigated the website for some considerable time, i was unable to understand what form i required ???, It's then that i decide to give him a call, he will know, problem solved :party0011:.

However....during the conversation Chris became a bit angry, ok maybe i did babble on a bit, and i wasn't to know he was in a important meeting at the time, anyway the last thing i can recall him saying was  :censored: OFF, and with that he put the phone down, i did call him several times after in the hope we could clear up any misunderstanding, but sadly  having him failed to answer it seems he as no wish in any further involvement  :snivel:.

Of course I'm joking , I did call Chris, no supprise he was very helpful, and he provided this link....

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/resources/en/docs/1903073/vaf4a

This is the application form i require, but sometime ago, Chris did provide a link to a second form, but he can't remember ( understandable ), I've lost it, and of course i can't remember ( very understandable ).

The question is, what is the other form  ???, i seem to remember it was all about me....Wage slips-have you provide six months?, tick yes or no, if no explain why, this question plus others are on this form.

Ok, after my disturbance let me at least try to google a bit :coffeeread:.

If I were in your position, this is the website I would start looking for information, it seems these are the people you are going to deal with in the near future:
http://www.ukvac-ua.com/index.aspx

Something along the lines you are talking about:

 tiphat

Hmmm, in the preview the last link was lost. You are supposed to take the whole line of the link (including ".pdf"). Maybe some more experienced computer guru can help in fixing that... :hidechair:

Fixed it. Because it has spaces this happens. You need to do [URL*=*http://www.realrussia.co.uk/visas/uk/Check List for Settlement (Fiancee).pdf]http://www.realrussia.co.uk/visas/uk/Check List for Settlement (Fiancee).pdf [*/URL*] without the * characters :)

Thats not the right form, you need the INF4 (Spouse Visa) one that I mentioned, don't know where you got this link from but it wasn't me, this is for a Settlement Visa (I think) when applying from outside the UK.

Come on man, keep up here  :chuckle:

PS I think I am right, you have me confused now  ::)

PPS sorry don;t have time to search again now, use the link I sent to you today and search for an INF4 form before you start filling anything in just to be sure.

So with regards to the Spouse Visa application form that is linked to above :-X

Do you want the good news or the bad news? ::)

So what will it be I wonder as it is a document produced by the Government  :D

Thanks heijdenj, it's much appreciated and i will have a good read, FSUW wise if there is anyway i can "help" you, then don't hesitate to ask ( providing of course it as nothing to do with the paperwork bit )   tiphat.

Chris

When i went to the INF4 page, having red it, and of "how to apply", it then provides a link to the  VAF4A ( settlement application form ), it seems to me that "INF4" is not actually a form, rather information, of course I'm not sure  ???. anyway this is the link you provided....

The link I sent you states :  Guidance - Husbands, wives and partners (INF 4)
Last updated 04 March 2009

The form you have linked is a VAF4 which is another version of a Settlement Visa, I think  ???

Maybe they have changed the names of the frms since I applied 2 years ago?

Here is a link to lots of forms http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/vafs/  you need to check which one you have to use.

Also read this Information guides for visa applicants

Ok  you asked for the bad news first

The form you are reading is about as much good as a kick in the wedding tackle  :-\

You have to fill it in all online now to get the application date so do not bother filling it in as you can not send paper copies. :sick0012:

Ok the good news now....yes the questions online are the same or sort of  :chuckle:

Now the Bad news again :hidechair:

They have added extra questions to the online form and also the order on which the questions are asked are dependant on what you answered in the previous question.. :D

So all in all the PDF  form you have been looking at is a waste of time :D

There is no trial run when you go online you need to complete it to the end, to get a date for your application to the local VAC i take this would be Kiev ???

You can stop at anytime and save the online form so what people i have known have done have started it and then completed it when over there :king:

Now i bet that is as clear as mud  :innocent: :innocent: :innocent:

Thanks again Chris and Mark tiphat, :-X although anymore of this carry on.... :snivel:

:reading: I've now done much reading , I've become none the wiser :( , It's quiet clear that i will have to do considerably more  :coffeeread:, this i will, and on Sunday ( my next day off work ) i shall report back with my findings.

I did say that today was going to be a  "puzzle", but i was kinda of hoping that wouldn't include the  "help" .

In the meantime i wish you all to carry on learning what you can, post accordingly, and in case your not sure where to put it, then just follow these signs ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???.

Regards

Update

Since my last post i have engaged in a considerable amount of research, so much so that i decided i needed a little light relief form it all, so i looked upon a Russian joke, sadly due to a little misunderstanding it became potentially unpleasant, thankfully however having explained it was not my intention to offend, i then left the thread with what i believe to be a happy conclusion.

Spouse and child Visa information and application forms

INF4 is the correct Visa information provided, for both spouse and child

VAF4A is the correct Visa application form, for both spouse and child

The correct term is Settlement Visa , two VAF4A forms must be filled out and sent ( one each for both spouse and child )

First stop for my family is applying for our child's passport in April, and i will post again has and when things develop.

Thanks for your help today Mark and Elena tiphat, and thanks again to everyone else tiphat

Daz the portion I have highlighted should read:-

Forms must be filled out on-line and submitted on-line and this will give you the choice of appointment date on which to attend the VAC in Kiev

As for the help! np  ;)
