I am sure Real Russia is the place to call. We have a topic here: http://ruadventures.com/forum/index.php?topic=4799.0

There isn't much they don't know. They organise other visas apart from Russian ones (Chinese etc) so I am sure Ukraine will be a breeze for them.

Am I correct in thinking that a private visitor visa is valid for 12 months. The double entry visa would allow me to go back to the UK in event of emergency and return without having to reapply for another visa?

Thank you for all the advice it has been very helpful. :party0031:

You really need to get answers directly from the embassy to make sure of these questions.
Post them here if they do answer. I've had to call them after emails went unanswered.

After 2 trips back to UK I have finally got the visa for 6 months and am about to start the process of applying for residence visa.

First trip to UK I went to Real Russia office but received very incorrect information from them. They told me I needed a certificate from the OVIR to be able to get any kind of visa after the 90 days had run out. I rang the Ukraine consulate in London on my return to Ukraine (after trying to get the relevent certificate, that doesn't seem to exist anyway) to be told 2 passport photos and the application form along with the appropriate fee and I could have the visa the following day.

My advice is to call the embassy or consul before taking advice from an agency.

Joolsy: Can you please stop referring to the UK as the Uk and Ukraine as the UK as some peeps here are real thick and it confuses me them.
