I clicked a link from Twitter to a Dutch petition site. I grasped from it they need 300k votes to have a parliamentary debate as to if they have a referendum. Maybe someone can post the link as I have mislaid it.

I think Holland is likely followed by Sweden.

I recall reading a comment on Twitter that in 5 years EU will stand for Estonia and Ukraine.  :chuckle:

An Estonian mate said much the same. Estonia will be the last member of the EU.

The Common market was a good idea when it first started.. The EU has just turned dictatorship giving to many orders from Brussels. As you can say to many businesses that go bust over night, its the same for the EU..to big to fast. Same rules apply.

I guess it went from the Common Market to the European Union and slowly changed to the European Soviet Union..

Just life was a little better in the Russian Soviet Union than the European version..

Sadly, as we now know, the degree of integration that we now see in the EU was actually Road mapped back in the 1950s; we were just not told about it.

I  too expect that we will see,  if not a complete breakdown, a very significant change in the way that the EU is structured and run. Whilst some of the current hullabaloo about other countries seeking some kind of exit will prove to be just a tempest in a teapot the bottom up pressure for less integration will have a significant effect upon the top down integrationist forces. IMHO the result will be a diminution in the degree of integration and a walking back of the integration of new members and a disappointment for those who seek benefit from EU association.
