So we just made a big update on one of our sites after 18 months of re building, still a few more things to do over the next couple of months.. :sick0012:

Having used one of Steveboy's dating sites, I will personally recommend giving it a try. Taking Steveboy up on his generous offer, I was surprised by the activity on the bridesandlovers site.
If you are looking for women in their mid 30s-50s this site will definitely give you a good place to start.
What I have found is that women from Belarus seem to be very receptive and actively searching.

I opted to pay for a month subscription in December; give credit where credit is due, or something along those lines I suppose.....
I wasn't actively pursuing possibilities. Purely just dipping my toes in to get a sense of what to expect.
I'm only traveling to Russia later in the year due to work obligations and electronic communication in my view, is only there to set up in person introductions.
That said..... Received a message from a really nice lady in her early 30's on BridesandLovers and am now considering flying her to my country for proper introductions :)

I took Steve’s offer last December, signed-up and he kindly upgraded my membership to full access for 3 months. So I began blasting away through cut & paste translated messages and lo and behold, about 80% (aggregate) replied back. I couldn’t cope up with messaging all of them so the number dropped- around 30% went beyond 4-5 message exchanges. I found most of them to be genuine and straight to the point. They were asking me questions I wasn’t prepared to answer like...”There are many beautiful women in Sydney, why are you looking here?”, “I have a 3yo son, are you prepared to bring us there or you just want to have sex when we meet?” ???? To cut the story short, I invited a lady from Tomsk to meet me in Phuket (which we did) in February and spent 10 days (my shout of course) but we didn’t work out. All good and no hard feelings. I became busy at work and never renewed by Gold membership. But fellas, I really do encourage you to try B&L. You’d be amazed by the response rate. Cheers!

I never used free sites, because of the low-quality profiles you have to separate from the quality ones.
Paid sites (the good ones at least) do that for you.
I also didn't view it as 'my personal data' gets made into profit , I get that idea much more with Facebook/Vkontakte/et.al.
Plus , the better dating sites also use coaching to find out what you really would like in a guy/girl so your meetings in real life become better and more focused.
If you're really serious about finding a good relationship. Spend some cash on the better dating sites and see it as an investment in your happiness and do not dwell over how they make profit of you.
