Title: How to get deported from Russia
Post by: andrewfi on May 30, 2016, 11:08:37 PM
A bloke has just been deported from Russia for teaching English without the correct documentation.
Not too bad though,  the fine was only $30, so that's alright then.

http://www.themoscowtimes.com/news/article/american-student-deported-from-russia-for-private-tutoring/571059.html

As we know, for donkey's years it has been the default money raiser for the travelling poor and indigent would be residents to do a bit of English teaching. Maybe these easy days are coming to an end?

How would this affect people who claim that they are doing voluntary work as is the case for the bloke I referred to in my thread about the bloke in Sochi?  And also coincidentally Moby who was doing the same when he was last over there.

They deport Western foreigners from Russia pretty frequently..two unpaid administrative errors and your out some times. They often will not kick you out but will just deny you entry next time you arrive. Even if your married to a Russian women it can still happen..

Its life.. Simple to solve really behave when your in your hosts country :)

Im not sure how it works for being drunk with no documents and taken to the police station by armed officers! They let me back in so I guess its ok

Im not sure how Moby would manage at the border. But Im sure calling his liberal friends , asking for his human rights and wanting to speak to a lawyer will not help him :chuckle:

The guy in the story was married to a Russian bird. Actually it seems a tad mobyesque. He was married to a Russian bint, going to university, presumably on a student visa, running private English classes to support himself. Basically he seems to be a bit of a chancer, taking advantage of what he saw as a loophole in the system. Unless it has changed lots from when I was last there, the student visa is a handy sort of visa to have (as long as one does not actually do any work). As I recall, there's no distinction between paid or unpaid work on a visa that precludes having employment there.

If you take a chance you should be prepared to face any consequences. As they say "If you can't do the time, Don't do the crime" pretty simple.

Nothing worse than moaners complaining about facing up to consequences of their actions. Nothing wrong with taking a few chances in life. But if you do and it goes tits up, accept it and move on. Otherwise follow the law and you will have no problems anyway ;D

Yes, seems fair enough to me. I wonder if our two blokes who have been spending time in Sochi and teaching English are prepared to pay that particular piper when the time comes?

Absolutely 100% NOT Liberals are the worst complainers on the planet and have some kind of malfunction in the brain letting them face up to their actions. Thats why they usually use the "Human rights" bla bla

Who has been teaching in Sochi  ?

Is this the latest andrewfi - let's make stuff up about Moby ?

I HAVE been to a school 5 times in the past year and been a guest speaker - as have an Irishman, - not me - a Yank and several other visitors who were happy to give up their time.

Are you suggested I received some sort of 'reward' ? That's Manny,

I enjoyed it and hope that my closest home city - CHELTENHAM - can put aside some political differences / concerns and re-establish links. If I can help, great.

Why don't you write to the G8 Language School or the Russians and 'complain' about how I 'broke' the terms of my visa' ...

You could also write to folks at Sochi Autodrom, Privet Sochi, the Russian TV  Channel Vesti, .... who also know this 'russo-phobe' :chuckle:

A student visa ONLY allows one to stay in Russia and STUDY.
To be allowed to work, one needs to apply for and be granted a special " Work licence", AND a work permit, along with a tax and pension number.
The guy in the report was on his third 1 year student visa, and had been working illegally during this time, he really did push his luck..
On any visa, without a work permit, tax and pension number, ANY work, whether paid or un-paid is illegal..

I was fined for overstaying a visa about 7 years ago, and twice not registering at the house I should of been staying..not sure if the registration fines counted.

Would I be right in thinking that, as with many administrative penalties around the world, that the strictness of the imposition varies according to the demeanor of the wrongdoer and the attitude of the administrator?

Thus, if one is pleasant, respectful and obliging then the effect of one's wrongdoing is minimized. Give the bureaucrat a bad day and she will really f*ck with your day.

For example, being a non-resident foreigner in a country driving a foreign car, one really does not want any misdemeanor to be recorded. Also the police who might stop one don't really want the aggro of dealing with a foreign case. So, usually, a pleasant chat, accepting responsibility for the transgression, and treating the officer as a professional human seems to work well at avoiding the registration of one's number plate. Treat the bloke badly and it will be his pleasure to help one to become unable to drive one's vehicle.

Without asking for legal advice, as its unavailable to me today, the old rule that I know of was, and maybe still is, 2 admin fines over the last 3 years, and/or 3 admin fines over the last 5 years..
Beyond that they are cancelled..

As I said, I may be wrong/right...

So, there's this bloke called Mark Smyth who lives in Sochi, he works for a language school called G8 Language School. He also has worked with the F1 organisation in respect of the recent Sochi Grand Prix.

This is quite obviously a different person to the person who posts on this forum under the handle 'moby' and my understanding that this Mark Smyth person was not moby was completely correct.
This Mark Smyth bloke is English, not Irish as moby claims to be and looks like some kind of second rate Timmy Mallet.

Mark Smyth presumably has all the right documentation to work in Russia because he'd not be foolish enough to be presented in videos, promo vids, newspaper articles and other Internet detritus as working in Russia. Moby knows that it does not matter whether work is paid or not.

Moby would never have talked to the local newspaper as this Mark Smyth bloke did - unless he was correctly documented:
Headline for the article, translated is: Good if expats live in Sochi? Come to work and stay forever - in Sochi!

http://www.sochi-express.ru/sochi/news/blogi/141142 where he tells the readers that he works on the official website of the Sochi GP as the English language editor.
Quote
Он сотрудничает с «Сочи Автодромом» - редактирует новостной контент официального сайта Гран-при России sochiautodrom.ru на английском языке.

Moby wouldn't tell the Russian readers about how he runs 'masterclasses' in English for Russian students:
Quote
Марк - носитель языка, он проводит мастер-классы для желающих совершенствовать свой английский.

And this certainly is NOT a picture of moby holding promotional balloons from his employer's school:

Moby would not be foolish enough as to appear in a promotional video for the G8 Language School talking about how he attends classes there to work with Russian students, with whom  he is very impressed.

And, no, moby knows better than to publicise a going away party (http://allevents.in/events/mark-smyths-farewell-party/1716212211983061) thrown by his colleagues.

Mark Smyth and moby are certainly two different people aren't they?

Moby, if this bloke and you are in any way related you might want to talk to him about not doing this self promotional work in future. No point in trying to remove it now, this and other bits and bobs are already 'in the wild'.

Yeah, moby WAS that foolish.

Mark, a word to the wise(?). Even if what you say here is true (and that is not supported by the external evidence) then you have to persuade those looking at the evidence that you are telling the truth. What is a Russian consular official going to think if he sees just one of your videos or news site pieces?
She isn't going to bother investigating or giving you a second chance, there's no reason to imagine that she would. She will be thinking that, as with cockroaches, if she sees one there's 100 more just out of site. No visa for you good buddy, no reason given - and you know that you couldn't appeal because then all the cockroaches come out of the dark and into the light.

So, while it is unlikely that you will get picked up for it, the act of working for free, or with payment, breaks the terms of your visa.
Making videos and appearing on local news sites telling the world that you are working (for payment or for free is irrelevant) is just stupid.

But why try to deny it when the evidence stands there before us?

Would one be correct in thinking that your recent good fortune with F1 tickets was, in fact, a form of remuneration, in part or whole for the work you did on the official website and other tasks? And just how might that NOT be seen as being remuneration?

Why mention any of this stuff?
Not because it might affect you, because it probably won't, but more to show to others just how NOT to go about living 'under the radar' in another country. There are ways to do these things, but your way isn't one of them.

I've always maintained andrewfi makes stuff up and his latest 'research' into my life in Sochi simply proves that.

I look forward to returning to Sochi - confident in that I broke no terms and conditions and - naturally the dear reader can judge andrewfi's continued infatuation concerning my life .... I mean he's been so 'accurate' up to date

In the mean-time 'the incredibly well-maintained,  bint' - all his own words - has been busy making new summer dress designs and reminding me why I shouldn't wait to long to 'meet up'...

Title: Re: How to get deported from Russia

Maybe moby should think of this....

Its a common practice in Russia, that, if a foreigner gets "Busted" for any form of visa abuse, there are after effect ripples which may affect others, even if all documentation is in order, one can still be checked out by various Government departments depending upon how busy these depts. are, or if some "Newbey" is allocated the task...

I don't wish to be placed in that position by moby's actions, nor by anyone else's actions, not that I have anything to hide, its just the inconvenience that such situations bring to one's routine.

Having been checked up on a few times gives me no pleasure..

Moby can do what the  :censored:  he wants with his life, and I hope all goes well for him, but if he does something, gets caught, and any "after effects" upset my routine, I will not be best pleased....

Moby/Mark Smyth relishes, nay demands, attention. Look at what he does here.

If he gets into trouble he will blame me for having posted the videos and web pages here, forgetting that he was responsible for publishing them in first place and, more so, for working illegally in Sochi.

He couldn't be discreet to save his life - and in practical terms it is about his life. He has nothing in the UK, nothing in Cyprus, his love target can't get into the UK. If he can't arrange to stay in Sochi on a permanent basis then what is there for him?

Gipsy, I am sure that these recent cases of language school visa abusers are going to have an effect upon others in Russia. Names will be checked a little more closely, applications read more carefully...

Think yourself lucky - considering your Russophobia (http://ruadventures.com/forum/index.php/topic,24751.msg417998.html#msg417998) - that despite you pissing a number of people off here over the years in many ways, I don't think anyone dislikes you *enough* to be bothered going out of their way making waves for you this way.

It is amazing still that you choose to taunt and antagonise several here who *could* kibosh all and any future visas for you with one or two emails.

If I were you, I'd calm down, try to write content that gets you off moderation and become part of the community instead of fighting imaginary "enemies" each and every day.

Think yourself lucky - considering your Russophobia

Being labelled a 'Russo-phobe' by someone who has posted mostly negatives about his personal experience of Russia and hasn't been there - or Ukraine - in YONKS - always amuses. Some 'insider' ..

Russo-phobes don't tend to know a great deal about the culture / history of the place they 'hate'- which makes it easy to mock those who theorise :coffeeread:

 - despite you pissing a number of people off here over the years in many ways, I don't think anyone dislikes you *enough* to be bothered going out of their way making waves for you this way.

I make NO apologies and this very thread makes a mockery of your words

It is amazing still that you choose to taunt and antagonise several here who *could* kibosh all and any future visas for you with one or two emails.

Where you drunk when you wrote this ? It backs up - EXACTLY - the issues of double stds  I've long claimed....

If I were you, I'd calm down, try to write content that gets you off moderation and become part of the community instead of fighting imaginary "enemies" each and every day.

Luckily, I'm not a control freak and respect your right to have a differing opinion - I wouldn't dream of suggesting my dear Russian  friend Alex  being denied access to the UK / Cyprus, etc., because he 'approved' of how Russia took Crimea ... I don't feel the need to 'research' the lives of my 'enemies' [ your words ]   :chuckle:

Being 'moderated' on here is a badge of 'honour' .... It allows you to make up stuff and edit out my ripostes... change my profile ...It allows daft posts of certain mods to remain 'intact'..

I have never been fined over-staying, nor broken any visa conditions in Russia or any nation.

As you can see from the evidence posted, keeping his mouth closed is not his forte.

'Evidence'  ?  :chuckle:

I know exactly what I said /did and am well used to reading interesting interpretations of my life on here  tiphat

If I remember an older thread Moby was saying about chatting to the locals or neighbours about the economy/house prices bla bla bla..
I said then its best not to discuss anything like that with any neighbours anything whatsoever about what you are doing especially as you don't even know them.. wether your legal or whatever..

Always best to keep your mouth closed...

I' get it',  Steveboy... you're from the do as I say, not as I do, 'school'..  :chuckle:

He's not content with talking to the neighbours, he's telling the whole world.

AKA Luke ..I think you might have an over inflated sense of andrewfi's believability ... as you'll see soon enough..

I' get it',  Steveboy... you're from the do as I say, not as I do, 'school'  No I'm from a completely different school to you for sure.. The school of life and hard knocks..you probably never heard of it. :)

What is there to see?

Hopefully your next visa application will sail through, you will return to your normal activities in Sochi and your target will get out her wedding dress once again.

All of that adds up to 'nothing to see'.

I guess that the only matter you need to resolve will be to get the divorce that is providing the bottleneck to your latest best beloved's matrimonial dreams - and, I suppose, your residency in Russia.

I have never  broken any visa conditions in Russia.

The use of a business visa to visit and stay for lengthy periods with a loved one is classed as visa misuse.

o

Re-reading this post, along with your post No 17, it strikes me that you are being paranoid about a possibility of being refused your next visa.. Hmmm.

You know that you have broken the conditions of your previous visa, and that the majority of stuff written about you regarding the language school and video advertising of said school, the Pub, (where no doubt all your costs were paid for by "Others"), and video of yourself in Sochi, by Andrew were correct, yet you call him out about it..

You also know that you are not allowed to enter Russia again for 90 days from your date of departure on your last business visa.

You continually mention your resolute adherence to the visa rules, as if you are looking in advance for any reason why your next visa could be refused..

Then you state that NOTHING will stop you from doing exactly what you wish..

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm..

Something is worrying you maybe?....

Yeah, right, drinking tea - my arse!

What's the saying 'render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and to God that which is his.' Looks like some God botherer got mixed up in his rendering.

Hey moby, what stuff have I made up?

Your homelessness?
Your joblessness?
Your honesty (or lack thereof)?
Your abuse of your previous visa privileges?

I certainly do not recall writing that you did not have a visa or that yu had applied for a new one.

Why do you lie all the time moby?

I bet that even your mum checks her purse after meeting with you!  :rolleye0009:

Here is some thing for Moby Russian hater to think about. This guy was posting hate stories in VK ..going around gobbing off in Russia about the government in the public domain can lead to problems..Of course this guy in the video was a bit of a head case anyway.

So be very carful what you write or you may have a knock on the door..
