Title: To naturalise or not?
Post by: Dogsoldier on October 16, 2015, 04:02:16 PM
I have been dragging my feet over this for quite some time. Could have started the process in May but put it off because of the summer holidays. I printed all the forms off and have them ready to ge filled in but I admit to a great weariness at having to face yet another round............. :dh:

This round compared to the rest is a walk in the park, a simple and quite pleasant round, the bonus at the end is the freedom to travel where you like when you like

The added bonus we have found is on the are you able to work front, the passport and citizenship opened up many more doors than i thought previously it would also as far as id is concerned  its simple she is a British citizen not further questions asked at that point.

We used the checking service at the registry office took all the worry away sat back and waited, the best bit was at the ceremony national anthem etc  ;D

I don't know what use the checking service is really apart from ensuring you've signed in the right place.
Oh, and parting you from some more cash. :dh:

Thats fine DS after all they only check what you fill in they dont write it, but at the time it was told the difference was between using the system or not, was the speed it was processed at. with it being told a quicker application if you had it checked, our was back in 10 days so we were happy and the ceremony was 1 month later  :coffeeread:

There is nothing in the book to say you must do this i know of couple that still after 5 years have not applied, quite happy getting visas and going that way

There are also the couples that say they can not have dual nationality because of their country so called laws, but that stupid idea has been put to bed so many times as inafective, but still they bang that drum while others just stand back and laugh.

Up to you matey but there is no real haste if you dont want it! but i must admit most within the circle of ours say they can wait to be free of travel ties and production of their ability to do things in country

Cheers Sparky. Thats interesting to know. I wonder if checked applications are prioritised. If so, that would make paying the fee worthwhile.
Better get my finger out.

Paid for 'verification' of SC's UK visitor visa application.

Have to say it seems a complete waste of money..as the outsourcing company failed to notice that SC didn't give them an English translation for her House Deeds and car ownership.

The UK are ising TelePerformance, now and compared to the likes of other outsource firms...such as VFS...they appear second rate and I would NOT recommend paying them... I normally pay for such services, as an uninterested
