Just wait until you get to see northern Idaho in the winter! Beautiful.  I made a special trip down one winter to go snowmachining in the Sawtooth Mtns and all around MT and Wy areas. Fantastic scenery.

Yes, winter is very beautiful here. I live in the South if Idaho.
I am thinking to go to Sun Valley this winter. It is a ski resort, and it is very close.

I made a special trip down one winter to go snowmachining in the Sawtooth Mtns and all around MT and Wy areas.

This is my dream....  :)

It was my test.
I wanted to know who would ask the name of this place.
Somehow I knew that I would be you.....  :)

It is Malad River, a tributary to the Snake River. It is located next to I-84, about 30 miles from Twin Falls.
Acually, it is Malad Gorge State Park. One of my favorite places here.
Can you imagine that I was the only person in the whole park?
In one spot I was sitting at the very edge.
There was the river far beneath, beautiful birds above…
There were only two of us: me and my Idaho...........

There is some very good areas near Island Park, Id and you can rent sleds there too! The snowmachine rides in Yellowstone are fantastic. You can see lots of wildlife and Old Faithful! My wife loved it!

Yellowstone is one of my favorite places. I am planning a separate thread about this park.
I have so many pictures, especially of  Old Faithful!
Again, it is so close! May be I will go there just for weekend to ride snowmachines!
Thank you! Great idea!

When it erupts during cold weather the steam clouds make it look so much bigger and much more impressive.

Make sure that you rent/ride Arctic Cat brand sleds.. :D They're the best! ;)  (we ride them)

This is my gas station. I want to show you prices for gas today.
You also can see the weather. It is rain today.

Because I (sorry, my car..) uses premium gas, I paid about $2 per gallon.

I've long wondered why gasoline/petrol is so much more expensive in Western Europe than here. Is it attributable to higher gas taxes?

Yes Larry typically the breakdown is for every litre

Approx
Duty £0.58p
Product £0.48p
VAT £0.23p
Retail/Delivery £0.05p

Those figures are a little lout of date, c.3 months and prices have dropped a bit now, but the percentages will be about right.

I also want to show you one store. Everything in this store costs one dollar or less.
They are very popular, and located in every town.

It's a huge store. You can bye many things there.

That's what I bought.
It is sponge for sink, liquid hand soap (I wash hands very often. It's a habit!), and soap in shape of roses(I like this idea!).
I paid $5.30 for this treasure. Oh, sorry! I bought a big spoon for my kitchen after I took this picture. Totally five items.
