It seems the Americans on this forum are missing the delicious irony of Avenatti being arrested for DV.
It was Avenatti who dredged up some party girl from the 70’s who claimed that Brent Kavanaugh and friends did a gangbang on her in an effort to derail his nomination.
So now Avenatti wants due process as of course he denies beating his accuser who had a bruised and swollen face.
Why should Avenatti get due process when he attempted to deny it to Judge Kavanaugh?

"Creepy Porn Lawyer is Creepy" isnt really a shocker. Different form of "due process" though. The move on Kavanaugh was exactly the same move they pulled on Clarence Thomas - now the Court's senior member - back when he was nominated: Have an anonymous Dem staffer "leak" damaging, but sketchy, allegations aginst the nominee so that the wronged woman attention whore can appear to be a "reluctant witness" who didn't "want" to testify but felt she "had to" for "the good of the nation."
Yeah. Riiiiiight.
Anyway, Creepy Porn Lawyer will have his day in court....as the defendant. That shouldn't matter to his Quixotic campaign for the 2020 nomination - Ex-Congresman, DNC Deputy Chairman and Current MN Atty-Gen-Elect Keith Ellison certainly knows how to "smack his bitch up" and he just got elected to statewide office in Minnesota by a wide margin.
I'd prefer that CPL be judged on the facts of the case, the same as I would want for any person accused of any crime. That said, his side of the aisle seems to be more concerned with pandering to the "BelieveWimminzzz!" crowd, so that puts him in something of an awkward position.
And so it goes....

Weinstein is a whole nuther bad. Basically raped as many actresses as he could due to his power. If you watch his leaked videos interacting with women it's creepy as fuk. He's a predator and needs to be locked up for good.

Weinstein is an elite Billionaire, he should get prison for life but I highly doubt it. The other "elites" will find a way to get to the judge or the jury in order that he should get a minimum sentence. It is what it is, those type of people protect each other. :coffeeread:

Well Bill Cosby got essentially a life sentence. he'll probably die in prison. that he was even convicted was a huge surprise. most thought his celebrity and clout would get him off...but there were too many women who accused him.
ironic that criminals who do big white collar crimes tend to get longer sentences than rapists. Bernie Madoff got 150 years in jail.

In a perfect World Bill Cosby should have been arrested and sent to prison about 20 years ago when the first allegations started trickling in. He thought his celebrity and what I call "black worship" made him untouchable. Finally some women got justice.

You're right about that! Huge amounts of hypocrisy is a specialty of Democrats. Just look at the Keith Ellison situation. How many of his fellow Democrats have condemned his actions (allegedly beating GF's) and demanded he resign from Congress? I had seen a meme featuring him and Avenatti but couldn't find it, so Cuffy's will do. :laugh:

I think the liberal media is behind all this recent negative Avenatti exposure. When Avenatti was going after Trump, he was a hero and got lots of favorable media coverage, so much, that he thought he had a chance to be POTUS. Now the media with their close Democrat friends have decided to get rid of Avenatti.
Many people don't realize this but the media helped get Trump elected POTUS. During the Republican primaries Trump got lots of favorable media coverage. Other Republican candidates complained. Polls agreed Trump was the easiest candidate for Hillary to beat. After Trump won the Republican ticket, only then the media talked non stop bad about him.
The media criticizes Russia for influencing an American election but they are much more guilty of that than Russia is.
