SC came back from Thailand when I told her I was finally divorced and we could make a plan - at last..
I NEVER expected to have to wait over five years and SC had 'acquaintances' who suggested I might just be stringing her along ..(I guess they met one of our married members who can't keep away from dating sites to help newbies ? )
SC has never been married and does not want to be married in Russia !
So, where to tie the knot and what is required in 2019?
Cyprus - it is an EU nation and the marriage docs are in ENGLISH (and Greek)
1/ Visit ZAKS and get a 'no impediment to be married doc' - *I* thought that would take days - but it was 800 Roubles and a 2 hour wait
2/ I need to get such a doc if I marry as an Irishman or Swear an Affidavit in a Cyprus Court if a Brit
3/ SC's no impediment' docs MUST be translated by the Cypriot govt translator
4/ Pay 130 Euros for a licence and present Passports and Birth Certs
For SC finding a dress is the priority

It only took one click to download all your albums for future reference and I am not stupid, as you are, to use any of them without your written permission. I guess your Russian friend in that photo at Sochi or his people at his old firm, keeping truck of your activities…… and tourist travels…..to Sochi, Abkhazia, Georgia, Cyprus, Thailand, North Vietnam etc. I am sure the Turks are not oblivious to your visits to the unrecognised state of North Cyprus and you travel activities.
All the photos you posted….. appear o be taken in Hotel rooms…… and you are not around. Is it another modelling Job for your Russian Friend?

Wiz, we never expected V to sign agreement to end the marriage before the last minute ( late May was when I could apply for the Absolute in default ) and - once again - SC has no wish to reside in the UK ..
Who knows.. we might not crash out and the Family Permit visa system will still be in play - possibly a bonus - but not planned ..
For sure, there is supposed to be a large element of ( non evil) humour in the post that elicited your 'response' - but the Divorce, and certificate of non impediment are factual
Do I take it that you do not wish to be the official photographer ?;)

I didn't, but in hindsight - if I knew then what I know now - I probably would have done.
On the dress: Number 2 looks OK, but it's all much of a muchness as they only wear them for a day.

I am quite rusty with Russian now since wifey self-declared her English to be 99% (I tease her it's a mere 69% as she struggles with Scottish accents - which narks her. Our 10 yr old daughter uses Yorkshire slang and a broad Yorkshire accent for fun which throws her :chuckle:).
Cyrillic, like any alphabet, you learn and can read thereafter. But if the word is in your vocabulary (or memory) is another matter. :chuckle:

Best way to do it unless it’s a young couple on their first. That said, a lot of people in the UK are doing this instead of the 300 person 40 grand wedding.
They’d be better off buying a house and celebrating their big day with the nearest & dearest.
