Russian Art and scenes
« on: July 30, 2007, 10:47:17 PM »
My wife, a fairly successful artist exhibits her work in Russia, Ukraine, the USA and western Europe.  I think she is pretty talented.   :party0011:

Her work can be seen in several Russian museums and galleries in Moscow, St Petersburg, Kaluga, Volgograd and in Poland at the National Gallery in Lodz.  She is scheduled for exhibits this autumn in Ethiopa (land of her birth), Germany, and the Netherlands.

Kaluga.

Moscow.

"Pushkin and Nataly" was commissioned for the re-opening of the Pushkin Museum in Moscow.
One of the great love stories in Russian romance, their marriage was at times stormy, weathered affairs and scandal.  Pushkin was mixed colour, part African and part Russian.  At times a close advisor to the Tsar and then banished to Siberia, his life was one storm after another.  One of Russia's most loved writer-poet-heros, Puskhin in many ways defines the essence of Russian soul.

The delightful paintings are romantic and joyful. They are full of bright and vivid colors! Looking at her paintings you can feel fresh clear, clinking and flickering air; and on the whole her works leave an impression of poetic ode to life.

Olga, many thanks for your kind words.  I've very glad that you find enjoyment in her art.  It is very inspirational to me also.  She loves her work.  I cook, she paints.  :'(
