Hi everyone! Thank you for your kind words.

1) Connecticut is one big village but there is no pollution.
2) People are very friendly, especially Tom's relatives.
3) The prices of consumer products are very low.
4) The ceilings in houses are very low also.  :)
5) The women here are overweight, not very attractive and dress like crap.
6) The grocery stores are impressive. That's probably why people are overweight.  ;D

Manny,
Tom never had a mansion. He was just teasing Paul. He has a lot of land though.

That's all for the moment.  :)

Nessi any updates for us ?  I hope Tom didn't show you how to use a riding lawnmower, though it would explain your absence.  :)     :travel:    <---  In loo of not having a ridingmower emooticon.

Nessie,

Congratulations! It's wonderful to see you posting and I hope you're enjoying CT. I hope you'll share some more of your thoughts as time progresses.

The most important thing you need to know about CT, is don't go to Bridgeport, and occasionally those Huskies games can be exciting!

Tom doesn't have a small riding lawnmower, he has a big John Deere garden tractor and he doesn't want me to use it because it is dangerous. That's fine with me because I didn't come here to mow the grass. My job is going to ESL classes.  ;D

p.s. We have just returned from Hilo, Hawaii  :plane: and we had a great time playing in the volcano.

Hartford isn't too great either but we have plenty of things to do in the suburbs like dancing, the gym, ESL classes and immigration documents. I am not interested in watching basketball but I like wearing the Huskies T-shirt. Right now we are trying to recover from jetlag and get back to our normal life.

I understand why women have adjustment problems because they don't have their friends and family close. Tom is very attentive and sweet though, so it's not so bad.

Thank you, Irina. You should also consider coming to the U.S. because there are not enough pretty women for the many handsome and nice men here. :)

"Nessi,"

Has Tom been preparing you for the big holiday weekend coming? Do you guys have plans on having a memorial day BBQ?

Speaking on behalf of myself, I can't get too excited about it. Don't really like either Bayern or Internazionale, but the weather is set to be nice although it will change again next week. Typical after Ive just packed my warm coats away.  :(

We will be joining Tom's family for a cookout at his sister's house, Eric. We both have a cold, though.  :sick0012:

Here's a photo that was taken from the jetty in Hilo harbor, Hawaii two weeks ago. The cruise ship was merely a convenient backdrop; we were not passengers. An amusing aside, depending one's sense of humor, is that we watched waves crashing over the top of this jetty a few days later. (There were no warning signs.) Oops!

The hundred-year-old Shower tree in the background has survived five major tsunamis and is none the worse for wear. The same can't be said for life and property when the huge waves hit. A photo in the museum shows many locals picking up beached fish when the waters receded from the bay in 1960, prior to the first wave. Very few lived to tell their tale of stupidity.

Irina, you might want to also consider Canada for an independent immigration. Some finance occupations may be eligible ;)

Yes, I agree. Employment opportunities are probably better in Canada than in the U.S. right now.
By the way, Canada is a prettier and more clever place now that you are there.

Maybe Herrie or Mark will insert a flower for Belle because I don't know how to do it.
