Sorry all the easy ones taken.

I thought they were all easy? {But then I can read Russian & was an A student in geography...  :P}

#33 {the duplicate} is both Venezuela & Bahrain

#1 is Abkhazia, #11 is South Ossetia {South is "Yuzhnаya" or Южная in Russian} two breakaway republics that were formerly part of Georgia

#24 is Peru, #25 is St Vincent
#28 is Thailand
#29 & #30 are a bit tricky, "XOPBATИЯ" is "Croatia" {but sounds like Horvatia in Russian}, while Чeрнoгория is "Black Mountains" in Russian, which translates to "Montenegro" in English

I actually have more trouble figuring out what country they are talking about because it SOUNDS so different. I only figured out "Horvatia" a few days ago when we were listening to Eurovision...  :)

The last ones are always the hardest.

A couple of hints to get the juices flowing:

51 This country is a neighbor to Israel and Russian ally. Just before the American invasion of Iraq, satellite photos captured Russian army convoys moving military assets from Iraq to this country. This country is known to train and equip movements dedicated to the destruction of Israel.

52 This country is the smallest in South America and is a Dutch speaking island in a sea of Spanish. Formerly known as Dutch Guyana.

No! :)  For me this was hard not knowing the alphabet yet, but it did give me good practise. Also, I did not realize the Russian spelling was not letter for letter like English spelling, so that threw me. What helped me was knowing a little bit about geography, other than not being sure if the DR was in the ithmus of America or an island by Cuba.  :) I could see having another exercise of this sort, but what type I do not know.

The second one seems to spell Andora. Is that a country? Seems like I have heard the name somewhere.....

It is a very affluent European tax haven nestled between France and Spain: Andorra

Nope, I had them right  :) Syria also fought in the 6 Day War. If I had not belonged to the site I met Ada on, I would have never gotten Suriname,.. for some reason young people like to use it as a fake location for their residence.

I'm sorry,,, but once you have completed the K-1 process, and have your 'lady love' on track to USA citizenship, why would you want to visit, or even be concerned with,  99.9999% of these slimy, dismal, dreadful, stinky little countries?  Like,,, who would ever want to go to Pakistan?

Seems a total waste of time and money to me.  You can take better, more interesting, far less expensive, and more fulfilling vacations with her in the FSU, in a multitude of more wonderful resorts in Russia and Ukraine, without ever leaving the FSU and needing a visa at all.

You will probably not be able to take the lady to Paris, London, or Madrid,,, why settle for a shithole somewhere else?

There are countries where she needs no visa and countries where it's easily obtainable upon arrival.

27 Dominican Republic (Paul)

I went there last year with my wife and step-daughter and I can absolutely tell you that ALL visitors (even US citizens) need a visa to enter the Dominican Republic.  The visa is easily obtained at the airport upon arrival.  The cost was either $5 or $10 per person, paid in cash for 60 days.  I guess you need to move this to the proper column.
