Great pictures :)
Thanks for sharing.

It goes to show how Moskva has gained the title as one of the most beautiful and expensive cities in the world.

Wow, great pictures, MrMann  :THUB: :)

They are really making me miss Moscow.

One of the KGB buildings in the infamous Lubyanka Square (Лубянская площадь).

I took a picture of the same building on my first trip to Moscow and was quickly asked to delete it from my camera by some militia guy, who then told me to enjoy the rest of my stay in Moscow (he was a nice guy just doing his job). I still have no idea where he appeared from, lol.

Yeah, I had read about people being stopped from taking photos, so we ran into the square, took a photo, then ran out again. Stealth photography :)

Very nice, thanks for sharing!  I used to live near Поклонная гора and have spent many an evening enjoying Victory Park.  From the first time I was hooked. It is so impressive in evening when the park literally changes colours as the fountains turn red to represent all the blood which flowed as a result of the Great Patriotic War.

Mr McMann, I am going to put a link to this thread from the Russian culture pages about Victory Park so that readers can also enjoy your posts here.

Barvikha Luxury Village itself is directly owned by a small group of investors, and I believe that includes the Ferrari-Maserati dealership. I think my girlfriend said that they had lost the Ferrari franchise to another location in Moscow though.

She also said that before Christmas there were lots of Ferraris, Maseratis and Lamborghinis in the car park underneath (where they store what can't be displayed in the showrooms), but these have all gone now having presumably been moved upstairs and sold over the festive period.

There was a McLaren Mercedes down there when we visited last week - complete with 3 security guards sitting in front of it. Plus a Ferrari 250 GT and a Jaguar XK120.

I like those too!  Very cool.

Did you see any of the refreshment vendor areas?  It always seems so odd at such a park to have the canopies over seating areas sporting the Coca Cola logo!

MrMann, is that actually you who jumps on the tank? ;)
Men are like Bluetooth: he is connected to you when you are nearby, but searches for other devices when you are away.
Women are like Wi-Fi: she sees all available devices, but connects to the strongest one.

I don't think I would describe it as odd as you see Coca Cola logos all over the world, but I know what you mean.

That day is probably the only time I've been happy to get warm apple juice from a street vendor! :)

And Belle, it is me on the tank, yes. Looking back I don't think I could ever have predicted that one day I would be standing on a tank in Moscow!

Всем с Новым Годом!

Part 4 in a very occasional series!

Were back in Moscow for New Year and Russian Christmas, and yesterday we went for a New Year wander in the local area (Tagansky District).
