According to Wikipedia: Feodosiya (Ukrainian Феодосія, Crimean Tatar Kefe, Russian Феодосия) is a port and resort city in Crimea, Ukraine, located on the Black Sea coast. The name is sometimes spelled as Feodosia οr Theodosia, according to transliteration from the Greek: Θεοδοσία. Today Feodosia is a popular Crimean sea and health resort. Local mineral springs, mud baths, and the areas favorable climate create ideal conditions for renowned sanatorium (health resorts) that can be found throughout the region.





Tourists have been coming to this picturesque retreat for almost two centuries which is evident as you stroll down the city promenade that runs along the sea. Side by side stand beautiful 19th century estates and large Soviet rest homes. Those who stroll to the city's outskirts will be treated to the walls of a grand Genoese fortress and an early Armenian church that dates to the time of Byzantium.

 
   


Feodosiya is the second largest town in eastern Crimea after Kerch. It is located at the far east end of the Crimean Mountains and is both a tourist destination (especially in the summer) and an industrial center.





Feodosiya has been inhabited for 2500 years and has an ancient fortress and a number of very old churches, all on the southest edge of town. You will find a famous painting gallery and a few museums. Not far from Feodosiya is Koktebel, a fashionable vacation destination.





Feodosiya is accessible by train from Kiev in the summer months, but there are no trains the rest of the year. However, buses run frequently from Simferopol, which has very good train connections to destinations around Kiev and western Russia.
