Thank you Mendeleyev, the closet thing they resemble in my field guide is the Northern Water Snake (Nerodia sipedon). They seem to be very common here in New York.

Great Macros, and thanks for posting the set up. I never new about a reverse ring and had to look it up.
I have been looking at different Bogen clamps, your pics give me an idea. Thanks!

LOL  :chuckle: The tape keeps the flash from moving around when I bump into things with it, when photographing insects, it happens often. Thank you Chris.

You should able to do the same with your 100mm and 50mm lenses with a reversing ring that can be found on just about any photography suppliers website like B&H Photo.

This link explains a little about shooting with a reversed lens...
