As you may know if you received our Newsletter, we enabled a blog feature on the forum today. You can find the button at the top of the forum, and it looks like this:

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

It is totally free to members, so if you want to use it, you are most welcome. Usual forum rules apply.

Any questions on the feature we can answer on this topic also.

Enjoy.  ;D

Strange, it should be : home \ forum \ blog \ image gallery \ news \ chat ..... so it would seem you are missing 2.

What happens if you click this link? : http://ruadventures.com/index.php?ind=blog

I agree with Olga_Mouse.  And if I try the suggested link I get this:

! Error !

Sorry

Perhaps you have set it so only those members in the UK and the Netherlands can see it.  I'm feeling unwanted and I so much wanted to blog about my adventures to the supermarket and going to see the latest Angelina Jolie movie.

BTW, I'm not seeing "Image gallery" either...

P.S. Magic!!

Markje's problem solution did not include his usual "log out - clear cache - log in" incantation!  :chuckle:

Thats because forum permissions have nothing to do with your local cookie/cache but is managed server-side.

I changed something, can you see them now?

once you are viewing the "blog" part of RUA, there should appear a new menu titled "blog" which resides on the left side of the website . The top button should be "create blog" :) (and likewise, the last one is remove blog, if you own one)

OK Markje, the force worked.  There is now a menu on the left side margin to create a blog, under the Main Menu at: http://ruadventures.com/index.php?ind=blog
I've written my first RUA blog is it visible to anyone other than me.

I tried it last night and it worked for me, so it can work for anyone ! I really didn't know what to write ,but I read Wetcoast's blog and went from there. I'm not too sure this will take off,as many posters here guard their personal lives.
I was wondering if someone wanted to comment on what another said, they have to open a new blog right ?

Many blogs have comment boxes, no doubt Mark can tweak it a little as required as we go along.

If comments are allowed, is up to the person creating the blog, its one of the options.

I copied my story there, but adding the pictures proves more difficult. I will continue to try of course, so I will not be caught off-guard when others try to create a blog here @ rua.
