My Elena arrived Saturday night !!!

She has arrived here in Orlando on Saturday midnight.  I gave her 5 yellow

tulips.  It was wonderful seeing her.  The last time was in Moscow where

she lives, it was in January.  As most of you know, she has a 2 year travel

visa to the USA.  She is one of the lucky ones.  Also, she paid for the plane

ticket.  Sunday, was a day of rest.  But, we did go to the ocean at Daytona

Beach.  It is only about 40 minutes from my home.

Monday, we had to drive to Miami.  That was a good 4 hour drive 

(one-way).  She needed at visa for the Bahamas.  We will be taking a

cruise for 3 nights.  While we were waiting for visa I took her to Collins Ave.

(South Beach).  She loved the old building and took many pictures.  I found

a nice Cuban Restaurant for lunch.  She loved it!!!  Today, we are going to

Sea World.  I got her a 2 day ticket so we will be going back again next

week. 


OK, about the house inspection....   it went very well.  She loved it.  But, she

did say that she would make some small changes.  Only to add some

additional furniture.  Which I agree.  She is in shower while I am typing,

and we are getting reading to leave for Sea World.  More to come.  So, far

on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it an 11.

Tuesday was a great time at Sea World.  It was a long day with a lot of

walking.  But, it was easier then climbing the steps at her train station in

Moscow.  After Sea World we went to our Wal-Mart.  She loved the prices.

Elena made a sandwich this morning with one peace of bread and meat on

top.  She did not like my mayonnaise.  It was not sweet enough for her. 

So, she put on French Onion Dip on the bread with some lunch meat.   

I went crazy laughing.  She loved the sandwich.

Today (Wednesday) we took a ride to St. Augustine.  It is the oldest city in

the USA.  It is about 1 hour from my house.

Tomorrow (Thursday) we leave in the morning for Anna Maria Island.  It is

located on the Gulf of Mexico.  Close to Tampa.  It will take about 2 hours

of driving.  We will be there for 2 nights, right on the gulf.  It should be a

great time. 


Thanks for all the comments.  I do wish all of you were able to have your

RW come on a tourist visa.  This was important to both of us, for her to

see where I live and not to come here for the first time on a K-1 visa.

congratulations! how did she manage to receive 2 years tourist visa?

Julie, when she had the interview in Moscow (where she lives) it was for

the 1 year tourist visa.  Her paper work was in perfect order.  She met all

of the qualifications and more.  After the interview she asked the

interviewer if she could have the 2 year visa.  The interviewer said "yes". 

Just pay the extra $100.


I would not ask for this extra year if the interview did not go very well.

We went to Annia Maria Island on Thurday.  It was about a 2 1/2 hour

drive.  We stayed at a little motel on the Gulf of Mexico.  I have been there

before. We you walk out side the front door of your room, you are on the

white sand.  It was perfect weather for the 2 nights.  Much time was spent

on the sand getting a tan.  In the evenings we would wait for the sunset. 

The sun would turn an orange color.  We left on Saturday morning for

home.  Saturday was going to be a day of rest but we went to Daytona

Beach for shopping.  We went to Bealls, Ross and I don't remember the

other name.  They all look alike.   Oh, I forgot a shoe store.  Thank God

everthing is under $50.   No $300 hooker boots here. 

Today we will go to Daytona Beach for more sun.  I guess she wants a

good tan for when she goes home to Moscow on May 19.
