Russia Outplays Saudi Arabia In Big OPEC Deal

RUSSIA OUTPLAYS SAUDI
ARABIA IN BIG OPEC DEAL

Russia and Saudi Arabia have agreed to extend the current output deal to at least the end of 2019. The deal between the two energy powerhouses has made the future OPEC meeting in Vienna redundant.

This is a fascinating development. To the untrained eye, it has virtually appeared out of nowhere. The Americans must be livid every time the bloc is pinned as OPEC+, the plus being the Russian Federation, whom now hold such considerable influence in the market. What is so incredibly evident is the Saudi’s willingness to negotiate with Russia as a most trusted partner, building a long term relationship, clearly mutually beneficial.

Alexander just opened the U.S. Dollar debate and Alex quite rightly showed signs of concern. Dumping the dollar is on the rise at breakneck speed! Great show guys, thanks!

I AM SURE THE ABOVE WILL PLEASE "Manny" and few others...... but not our American posters, especially those who try to sell us Crap derivative products.

Putin appears to be a Master strategist and the smartest leader in the world, at present!

This is what happens when you use poker strategies while playing chess.

It appears that the American's are in a comma and don't follow important events..... but looks the bloody Greeks do!  :chuckle: :chuckle:

As usual, Wiz copy and pasted the opinion of others without giving credit and chose  a rather silly one, at that...

Here's a more realistic article.

The oil production deal led by Russia and Saudi Arabia cannot stop the market trend.....

Let's see who's article was closer to reality in say six months...

And moby posts an article that could say anything given that it is behind a paywall. Shoot for credibility, tell us what you think and provide factual support for it. As it is, moby, you have done what you wrongly accuse Wiz of doing.

Such a sad fellow; moby can't get it right even when he tries. :'(

I hope that oil can become less important like coal and asbestos.  Then these countries dependent on oil revenue can just eat sand and rock  literally

'Whazamatter, Andy'?...

You could not read the article I used as a counter to Wiz' ?

'upset' at my crediting the source, or explaining in only one line why Wiz' article will prove to be tosh?

Be sure to remind me in six months how 'well' this alliance 'works out' in it's aim to stabilise prices at a time of over production.

That's not going to happen.

Something that many, poorly informed people, assume is that we can reduce our consumption of oil by reducing the number of miles driven in our automobiles. That's not the case. Crude oil is a feedstock for refineries. Refineries produce their output through a process of distillation. As a result of distillation, a barrel of crude oil produces the feedstock for plastics, for chemical dyes, fertilisers, road construction, aircraft fuel, diesel, heating oil, bunker fuel, gasoline and many others. As long as we need any one of these products ALL the others are still produced, even if we do not use them. Refiners can choose to specialise in certain weights of input crude (one of the reasons the US imports large quantities of oil - US refiners can not work with the oil grades currently being produced from the unconventional sources so much ballyhooed over there.)

So, as long as we use plastics, as long as we use chemical dyes, as long as we use ships that use oil, as long as we need lubricants, we will be producing diesel and gasoline. Because we currently use all the fractions of oil that are refined the overall use of crude oil will not decrease to any significant degree. The best that can be hoped for is that oil use might not increase much, as we move toward natural gas as a feedstock for power generation.
...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!

As ever, our Fifi provides entertainment ...by displaying his ignorance.

It is already happening...

He is indeed the poster who should be addressing his own image re 'ill informed'..

At least he can be relied upon to help pass the time under a parasol...

Well know Wiz and Fifi

How are the 'experts' doing?

This graph suggests you two are not going to be investing money in oil commodities on my behalf

A 10 percent FALL since the Saudi / Russian 'deal' ...
