(Note: Reports are that Papi is stable. I’m sure he’s not totally out of the woods yet, but as I understand it things look good)

Me and Dave just talked about whether or not we should post this but the fact of the matter is that it’s a news story. Papi feels like a member of everyone’s family so it’s particularly unsettling to post, it legit feels like I’m saying “Here’s a video of my dad/brother/best friend getting shot,” but it’s a viral story and a viral video and news.

Having said that, that doesn’t look like a robbery to me, you know seeing as the guy didn’t try to take anything at all. That’s a straight up assassination attempt. The coward snuck up behind Papi and just shot him. It looks completely senseless and just makes an already disgusting act all the more disgusting. Seems like the DR has already taken some street justice, however. Shooting Papi in the Dominican is as stupid as shooting God in Heaven.

We also have four people who died mysteriously while staying in Dominican Republic resorts recently.  They all died of "natural causes".  Which only means that no one shot, stabbed, or strangled them.   

I think it is a conspiracy to take down the tourist industry on the island country.  No more visiting your FSU girlfriend there.

There are reports that the people who died at the DR resorts consumed contaminated artificial  alcohol.  Just like those in this country who ingested synthetic marijuana and meth.  And those who buy paint coated Viagra "clone" pills on the internet.

Stop taking substances that are not good for you even in the pure clean form.

The solution seems to be bottled water, sealed canned beer, no mixed drinks, watch your food being well cooked street vendors style.

Curious if this is a DR problem mainly or just under-reported in the rest of Latin America?

Reports in Havana that the US Embassy being cooked by Microwave beams from Russia and perhaps the CFRCs Communist Freaking Red Chinese.  All cruise tour ships to Havana from Miami have just been suspended over Cuban support (20,000+/- Cuban Troops) in Venezuela.

Cruise ships seem to have the Noro-Virus under control (Miserable Stomach virus with body-wide aches and pains - knocked me on my arse for 4 weeks) - so Cruise Ships may be a viable alternative to DR all-inclusive resorts.
