Help me find specific Russian TV show
« on: May 21, 2019, 01:32:39 PM »

Hello

I wonder if one of the ladies can help me with the name of a specific Russian language television cereal. It was described to me by a lady but I forgot the name of it and I want to watch it.

It apparently takes place in Moscow, I believe. It’s about two ladies well at least one, in their lives. The one story I remember was one lady was married but her husband left her for another man. He then wanted to get back together and kept asking her to get married. Also, there was another man that loved her and wanted to marry her. Well in the end, she finally decided not to marry her former husband. Instead, he bought her a supermarket and made her the manager of it and she was very happy?

Well, that’s the story, if anyone can help me out with the name and where to watch it I really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Cornflakski?

It could be a Russian cereal?

To those of posted:

I dictated the message on my phone. The iPhone shows the breakfast food rather than the word for a program that occurs again and again. I trust anyone who read the post with the intention of being helpful would understand what I was referring to.

you are better off asking on a forum with russian women who watch such shows

Spelling it the correct European way of programme may be better yet.

but why are you on a dating site asking about a TV show?

This isn't a dating site.

very few guys here speak russian

You claim to. Help the man instead of trolling. Do a Yandex search.

I didn't ask anybody and none of them knew either. However, one of my Russian friends who is sitting next to me right now suggested that all the people I didn't ask had been making howlers.

The only suggestion my Russian friend, who speaks perfect English and loves reading forum posts suggested a series called Trouble In Store. It probably isn't the one though. You can see a trailer here: http://www.starmediafilm.com/en/serial/sprava_gastronoma_1 and watch the episodes on YouTube. This is set in the 1980's and is a historical drama.

Thank you all for your input. I was hoping some Russian ladies might respond as well but I appreciate the help. The lady who was telling me about this program for a reason, she said it mirrored her life and our relationship. So naturally I want to find out! Keep the suggestions coming. Thank you.

I may add and if it helps, the lady in the program did not make a decision about turning down her ex husband and excepting the new man until the last episode of the last show. For what it’s worth. Thank you all.

If that's why you want to know then give up the idea! Get to know the person. Normal people's lives are not as simplistic as a TV show portrayal. Humans are much more complex.

Apart from anything else, she will be telling you about stuff that she thinks mirrors her life and, as such, quite probably bears little resemblance to any show she has ever seen.
Imagine describing the series of cartoons Tom and Jerry from the perspective of the black housekeeper in the series. It'd bear no resemblance to the animations we see and remember.
