The president has already given the senior military big promotions, so they will likely stick with him to the bitter or better end.   :chuckle:

If he gets the support there are going to be some very rich senior military.

He was played like a fish!

The U.S had been 'negotiating' with some of the senior military and government to persuade them to betray their country and vows. The targets played along and then when the U.S's boy got on his hind legs, having been told there'd be lots of support, was left with nothing, boxed in a small suburb with nowhere to go. His 'right-hand man' has gone into protection with his family, now lodging with the Spanish Ambassador.

The U.S administration now look like idiots, also have been played- they were under the impression that Maduro was going to leave the country. That was not the case, but the fat guys got on their hind legs and brayed the story they had been fed.

Guaido is, in my opinion, likely to get Nemtsov'd; that would serve to give some value to the U.S for his service, it would serve to give them a reason to berate the legitimate Maduro government and, the best part, it would allow the U.S to climb down given that the only dog they had in the fight was now dead.

If Guiado is murdered by the U.S then the sanctions will continue, the theft of state assets by the U.S and allies will continue, but for the time being the coup attempts will end.

If MADURO is FORCED OUT by the people of Venezuela with U.S assistance then the sanctions will STOP, the theft of state assets by MADURO and CROOKS will STOP, and the legitimate President, Guaido, will restore peace and prosperity.

There's nothing to fix. However the words you chose indicate what is going on! Blackmail and war.

And to think that you lot of poor diddumses are so het up about the possibility that the USA might have been affected by a Russian marketing company buying some Facebook ads. Look what you Americans are doing to the people of Venezuela. You are foolish enough to think that the majority of Venezuelans will willingly surrender to the USA?

^yet another “brilliant” post from the forum comedian.

Go back and see just how often you have agreed with me. While you are at it, go back and see how often I get this stuff right.

You are letting your shortsighted prejudices get in your way.

That's normal enough for many people, they find it easy to respect the fact-based opinions of others when they agree with their own prejudices but find it much harder to give the same respect when their prejudices are challenged.

As we saw the other day, the coup attempt failed, it failed on so many levels that, unless the coup was planned to fail by Guaido's bosses in Washington, it could not have gone worse.

We know about the 'negotiations' because they were publicized by the Venezuelan government. We know about the story of Maduro being ready to flee the country with, it was claimed, an aircraft waiting for him, because of the silly stuff that Mike Pompeo embarrassed himself with. We know that, even on a national holiday, Guaido couldn't amass more than a handful of supporters because it was on the national news, complete with helicopter overflights.

It is Pompeo's loss of face that tells me that this was not what was intended, this is not a rerun of Chile. These are not people who handle the loss of face well.

Other than hyper inflation,  hunger and a and a health service that is broke?  (To mention but a few things that someone needs to fix )

Andrewfi singles out the USA but neglects to mention how many other nation no longer recognise Maduro as President

Sure, there is an element of those nations who have invested most recently in Venezuela panicking ( China and Russia) ....

They do not want Maduro gone ..they do not care want the majority of people want ..they want to protect their interests...

Curious Brit-ism:   "poor diddumses"

Urban Dictionary...
diddums
diddums British
interjection
HUMOROUS
an expression which seems sympathetic but which really means the opposite
"I hurt my finger." "Ah diddums!"
(A) "Our children want to play in the mud." "Diddums!"
(B) They have decided to take part in the marathon in their holidays." "Oh diddums!"
(C) "The neighbors on the third floor are at it again." "Ah diddums!"

OR even more Curious definition:

diddums
A sexual act wherein one partner deposits fecal matter on the other persons chest. See Cleveland steamer.
That chick was really freaky and wanted me to diddums after blowing me.

Clearly a mocking, degenerate, and derogatory phrase - Source Lord Afi of Fee Fo Fum - go figure.

Hate to stink up the place by dropping a Cleveland Steamer in the middle of the Empire Party:

http://www.thetradingreport.com/2019/05/01/two-u-s-aircraft-carriers-might-be-headed-for-venezuela/

May 1, 2019

Juan Guaido has initiated a violent uprising in an attempt to overthrow Nicolas Maduro, and it appears that the U.S. may be preparing to intervene in the conflict militarily.  The USNI News Fleet and Marine Tracker accurately track the current positions of U.S. naval assets, and according to them the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower has left port on the east coast and the USS Theodore Roosevelt has left port on the west coast.  In both cases, each aircraft carrier was originally slated for “training” exercises, but now there is lots of speculation that they are both steaming south toward Venezuela.  Since there has been no official confirmation from Washington, let me stress that once again that any talk about the potential destination of these carriers is just speculation.  But considering what is taking place in Venezuela at this moment, it certainly would not surprise anyone if the waters off Venezuela is precisely where they are heading.

Rumors that both Soviet Russian and Communist Chinese Nuclear Armed Submarines in the Area so you can bet the Carrier Task forces will be similarly protected...  could become a
very interesting testing and proving ground for the latest Red Freaking Communist Chinese, Totalitarian Putinists Russia and Freedom Loving USA Hyper-Sonic Conventional and Nuclear Armed missiles.  Looks like the EU-NATO and Brits not invited to the Party ...  will likely envelope them soon enough.   Drop your sox and grab your cox sheeite is about to get real.

It’s our hemisphere and Russia would be wise to GTFO but Putin is a greedy lil’ *snip* who will only learn the hard way the true limitations of his country’s economy to sustain war long enough to prevail.

All red-blooded American Patriots know the Monroe Doctrine very well and we’re not going to sit idly by while yet another Commie scum dictator thug continues to starve people and deprive them of basic human rights such as medicines and food.

The Commie thug dictator I was referring to is Maduro, doesn’t matter though we all know the Russians hope to profit from being where they don’t belong so if they keep trying to prop up Dictator scumbag thief Maduro they may pay a very heavy price.  :coffeeread:

Venezuela and Russia (and of course, Eastern Ukraine) are on the country list of places where you can be held hostage.  Note that DPRK is not listed because there is no risk of random kidnapping, the government will do it instead.    :chuckle:

US Economic Terrorism and Genocide Against the People of Venezuela
« Reply #17 on: May 04, 2019, 07:54:11 PM »
“Psychopath Capitalism”: US Economic Terrorism
and Genocide Against the People of Venezuela

The US government is disintegrating, and has been for many years, with the current administration rife with internecine warfare.  The French government is confronting an incipient popular revolution of the Yellow Jackets, the British government stymied by Brexit and separatist movements threatening the survival of the “United Kingdom.”  It is only with the most flagrant arrogance that they criticize Venezuela.

It is agonizing to witness the mass murder of a heroic and progressive Venezuelan people, by a psychopathic capitalism which has not one iota of human decency, and wallowing in its cannibalistic behavior, desecrates the very concept of human rights.  But that is the essence of monopoly capitalism, whose “highest” stage is fascism. One can only hope that Russia and China will recognize the future menace to their own survival, and will not indulge in the wishful thinking of a “win-win” arrangement with Washington. One can only hope that the crucible of Venezuela will prove to be the Stalingrad of this de facto World War III, and it will be on the battlefield of Venezuela, with its transgenerational legacy of Simon Bolivar, that fascism is defeated, and the future progressive destiny of humanity will be forged.

Wake up Wiz it’s Maduro and before him Chavez, starved their own people and stole Billions!!

I don't find, anymore, amazing the fact that every single ..almost... American is been brainwashed and programmed to believe everything your MAFIA Government and your mass media and TV stations are spewing out.

Are you all American's have become mentally retarded and don't understand what is coming out of your Mafia President "Tramp" mouth and also what comes out of the mouths of your officials like "Mike Pence", "Pompeo", "Bold" etc?

As you must have noticed, I do read various publications not only the Global Research, listen to programs and interviews and don't rely to whatever the Zionist controlled TV and News media are spewing out. I feel sorry for most poor American's been Fcuked up by their own Mafia Government.

I noticed, on another post, you made the comment, that South America and the whole continent it's YOUR OWN backyard.......and Russia or anybody else has no  right to have business with these countries. Definitely you have lost it and have gone Mad!

Just for your own good, get out of your home, smell the fresh air and then take a long look at what is going on around you!

For your education read the following, below, article by John Pilger to learn something.

AvHdB Zionist Troll .....

Don't bother trying to teach me how to suck eggs or anything else. Keep your Trolling attention to your easy American prey and stay out of my view.........

THE WAR ON VENEZUELA IS BUILT ON LIES

Click the above link to read the whole article!

"The Guardian correspondent, Tom Phillips, has tweeted a picture of a cap on which the words in Spanish mean in local slang: "Make Venezuela  :censored: ing cool again." The reporter as clown may be the final stage of much of mainstream journalism's degeneration.

Should the CIA stooge Guaido and his white supremacists grab power, it will be the 68th overthrow of a sovereign government by the United States, most of them democracies. A fire sale of Venezuela's utilities and mineral wealth will surely follow, along with the theft of the country's oil, as outlined by John Bolton.

Under the last Washington-controlled government in Caracas, poverty reached historic proportions. There was no healthcare for those could not pay. There was no universal education; Mavis Mendez, and millions like her, could not read or write.

How cool is that, Tom?"
or shall I add .....Confederate?

So, you are saying that Chavez and Maduro did nothing about land ownership, health, literacy? You are saying that seizing Venezuelan assets, blockading imports, and exports, restricting access to money all had no effect upon the Venezuelan economy?

Put down the wine bottle, sober up and start to learn some stuff. It ain't hard, we already know that you can read.

Let us make it even easier for you. let us try a little thought experiment.
There's you a wealthy sort of a bloke. You sell your stuff in the United States through a business registered in the USA. It gives you a decent income. But then, for some reason, unrelated to anything about your business, its products or the legality of the business, the government in the USA closes down your business. Worse than that, they then tell you that you no longer own the business and that all the goods you have in the US will be sold and the money taken by the US government.

How many bottles of wine will you be buying the month after that happens?
If I were to tell you that it was your fault for not being a better businessman how would you react? Would you agree with me, or point out that what happened to you was outside of your control, theft and illegal?

If you were to tell me that you understand that you should have diversified, not relied upon your business in the United States, I'd agree with you. But that would not mean that your choice to deal with the USA was wrong. You were simply doing that which was profitable. You did not expect that the USA would become thieves. I might counter that there's plenty of evidence of that happening, but still, not everyone is such a good businessman and we all make mistakes.

The bottom line here, the United States is working to overthrow the legitimate government of another country by destroying its ability to run a functioning economy. That the economy was already fragile does not make what the US is doing right, there is no justification here. The US is killing people, again, and blaming its victims for their own deaths.

Ultimately, I believe this will tend toward more isolation for the United States because more countries will be forced to follow some form of the Chinese and Russian models (two different models with similar effects).
...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!

Andrew, when Hugo Chavez took power, he seized American and European companies oil projects over there. He then seized land and assets belonging to American and European companies. He allow some Russian interests to remain. Chavez made his enemies and chose his friends. He is responsible for where his country is at now.

If a nation seized the assets of your family, would you continue to do business with that nation? Normal people wouldn't. America is normal.
