SC wants to visit Finland in Summer and we can 'pop over' ..!

Finland is quite boring on the whole. I agree with Clarkson on the subject:

Quote
'If you’re so happy you could die, I have a suggestion: move to Finland'

“‘Joo. I am very happy,’ said Erik from Helsinki as he washed down his 50th sleeping pill and climbed into the bath with a Stanley knife and a gallon of cheap whisky,” Clarkson writes.

The British TV star also wonders why the UN – regularly placing all the Nordic countries in the Top 10, including this year – seems to ignore the higher-than-average suicide rates of countries like Norway, Iceland and Finland.

“Seriously. Did [the UN] sit down at any point and think: ‘Hang on. If these Finns are as happy as they claim to be, how come so many of them while away the day by committing suicide?’”

“[Finland] is one of the most aggressive places I’ve been to. Other Scandinavian countries are full of socialism-lite people paying voluntary taxes and riding their pastel-coloured micro scooters to the recycling plant.”

“But Finland’s not like that in my experience. It’s often dark. There are many mosquitoes. Passers-by in the street will often — and for no reason — invite you to eff off. One man took out his penis and waved it at me. And in every bar I visited, there was always someone looking at me as though they were wondering how I’d look without skin.”
please tell me where I'm being / have been 'dishonest'?
Yes, he said that.........

The 'Happiness Index' does not, for some strange reason, measure happiness. What they actually do is look at various ways the government interacts with the citizens.

Here are the 4 pillars of the UN Happiness Index:

Sustainable Development
Preservation and promotion of cultural values
Conservation of the natural environment
Establishment of good governance.

As you can see, one might be pretty damn suicidal and still have decent measures in these matters. Finland being one of the countries that set high standards for this stuff, along with Norway, Denmark and Sweden, will do well, even though the populace is a bunch of boring, yet suicidal, alcoholic, pill pushers, whose greatest pleasure, after feeding mosquitoes by the side of a godforsaken lake a million miles from civilisation, is to chew tobacco with lumps of glass in it.
...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!

Finland is quite boring on the whole. I agree with Clarkson on the subject:

Well, you - clearly - have not seen the 1000 lakes region - or been the guest of a Finish family in one of THE most popular resorts, there !

Clarkson is a buffoon and IF you watch him on the Grand Tour - they used a De Tomaso Pantera the wek before last and it broke down .. He made a reference to his personal experience of unreliability ...    AvHdB - take note .. I did tell you, I had rescued him when it broke down in N.France in the late 80's

HOW - would I know he would mention his 'fond memories'  for said car ..?

( Hint ;AvHdB -suggested I was fibbing when I posted that I had rescued him - in a Flintstones costume - he had organised a Treasure Hunt to Epernay - before his fame ! )

Manny went on to prove my point re Clarkson - who 'trashes' all nations / regions ..

Do you want to come for a long weekend in Malmo ? in the summer some time ?

Let's make it Stockholm on 2020?

I hope to be busy this summer, elsewhere))

SC wants to visit Finland in Summer and we can 'pop over' ..!

Or Luton?

So funny!!! I suggested this trip to Malmo to another liberal .. his answer "What about ******" Some other small town where the population all have good jobs, expensive house and where migrants do not exist..

I didn't suggest Stockholm  there are SOME problems there I know a fair amount about it, one of my school friends who lived in my street has been living there 28 years. but he lives in a nice expensive area..

Im speaking about MALMO.. and the poor Swedish population who have to put with the daily shit..

yeah I can meet up in Stockholm in 2020 just say when :) Wife has friend in Gothenburg and same for me..

So Train fare will be on ME .. and your accommodation in Malmo.. that will also be on me also.. you can come along with your other half and my wife will also come along.

We can do two nights in Malmo.. and you can show your other half "Cultural enlightenment " in Sweden..see what she has to say about it after a few nights there :))

Let me know date, month or what ever you have my word i'm up for it..

I already know you will never wish to show your other half some REAL life in Sweden :)

I support no government anywhere, ever, never. No institution, No religion!!

Perhaps you should learn to read, before posting stupid ?

1/ Can you explain how I knew JC had had a previous issue with unreliability with a De Tomaso Pantera

Option 1 - I stopped by the roadside and gave him a lift

Option 2 - Sting is really STUPID to doubt what I posted before

2/ Yes, the very same JC who was having dinner at Anne Robinson - later of the Weakest Link fame ..  I wasn't invited... I WAS there to sort an IT issue and got invited to the table and he called me a 'Geek'...  but was WELL and truly busted while Wife no.2 went to the loo ...   Michael foot and his wife were present - as was AR's then husband - John Penrose

JC wrote in the 'guest book that the Lamb was delicious and he loved the 'green Goo' - mint sauce

My then Missus did not come - it was a Sunday - as she KNEW who would be there - and was intimidated that there would be, " many 'bloody intelligent' people there..    "

Knowing Penrose and from my previous 'experience' of JC - her ample assets would have qualified her worthy of attention - but hey ..

As always, it is hilarious when an internet idiot tries to suggest my life experiences didn't happen ..

You see I channel bonded her multiple ISDN lines - supplied by a still trading BT agent from Cirencester - to allow her 'fast' internet access as she wrote articles for the Saturday Telegraph and another daily in those days

One time she insisted that I come out ( well Penrose did ) as I had 'been there the day before and the connection 'went down' - after I left ..

Using PCAnywhere and a back connection method I had installed - I was able to 'get in' - prove the connection was up and prove the BT log files that her connections started failing at 0330 - not when I had left 12 hours earlier

It turns out that BT had stopped thus withholding their numbers - using 141,  from connecting  ( done to remain 'anonymous' after the Jill Dando murder that scared celebs ..

They had written to analogue  'dialup' clients - but 'forgot' to tell the 'then' few ISDN clients..

I proved this by screen grabbing their website at 0846 and then calling - and the 'barstewards' changed the site at 0906 to include ISDN clients and tried to claim they hadn't forgotten ....

OH, it was great when I passed the phone to the poor fibber and revealed who the actual client was - she was a presenter for a consumer prog - WatchDog on the BBC and told him. " I now have cast iron proof you are trying to BS me and you might like your Chairman to call me ...( Ia[in] Vallance?)

He did so at 1010 and a suitable package was offered to compensate her and my time ..

AR and Penrose apologised for doubting me - as I removed the 141, which withheld their caller ID and the connections had resumed ...

She told me that if ever I need a favour - anytime - to call ...    She got me lots of luuvy celeb clients

On Jan 1 2000 - I woke at 1030 - as my Dad had suddenly died - when playing golf out in Spain - same Golf Course - different hole - as Bing Crosby... I was having issues getting the Cheltenham and Gloucester 'Gold Insurance' hotline to accept our claim and get my Father's body back and properly seen to ..

She wan't best pleased, until I explained I was calling in the favour for a good reason and within 10 mins the then chairman - as it was recently taken over by Lloyds called me to apologise and assured me that the claims team has been advised to remove the obstacles to the claim  (Andrew Longhurst)

I still remember the poor skelton staff guy ..   I had warned him that I knew AR and she was a client and how would he like her to call ?...  When he called back - I realised that he had thought I was full of it ...and regretted his stance...

I recognise that stupidity in you ..

From your promise to visit and your numerous geographic howlers - you really need to learn ...   IF I post something happened ....  it really did - just like I said ..

EVERYTHING in this post happened - just like I said
