searching for flight to Crimea
« on: February 01, 2019, 03:55:45 AM »
Looks like I am too late to fly to Crimea cheaply this year. (as in 1500 euro max for 3 people).

Best I can find is nordwind airlines for 2800 Euro, plus I have never heard of northwind airlines.

Aeroflot charges 4000+ euro, unless you accept nighttime flights with layovers from 2 am to 5 am.... oh great with 2 young children

While uncertain of the logistics I believe there are numerous ferries from Istanbul to the Krim. Is that a possible option?

Look at it as a floating bus.

If a ferry can do it under 4 hours it sure is a possibility

Like there'd be a ferry,.. There no no passenger ferries from Russia (  proper) let alone Crimea  since 2014

Nordwind are an ok airline. IMHO.
You might wish to take a look at Ural airways, and Red wings, they also fly into Crimea.

I have flown nordwind from Moscow to Sochi and got the impression that they were a charter airline doing scheduled routes ...

When I noticed your Q I checked and they are owned by Pegas ... a well known Russian Travel operator ..  The flight as only two hours, but quite acceptable.
