Search function for threads

Is there a way to search for words in a certain thread only or is search just for the entire forum?

For some it seems the search function works well. But I have often found the search function lacking in results. The search button on the tool bar as opposed to upper right gives better results. But very specific searches result in zero results.

Yeah but can you search only on a specific thread?  I guess no.

While I am not not always civil, my excuses, I am a big believer in civil discussion. If you or Guile wish to throw sand there are enough forums where you can do this.

Yeah but can you search only on a specific thread?  I guess no.

The advance search options allows you to search specific boards but not specific threads.

You can further narrow down the hits, if you know the author of the posts you are looking for.

Try using Google search using the inurl function to search only within RUA.

good idea Andrew, it will often yield good results.

For the non-techies.

- Open google's website
- Type your search
- Append: site:ruadventures.com as final search item

I'm sure you will be 'protected' from the painful truth

Your inability to see a fact from fiction and suggest 'insanity' on the part of the poster pointing FACT suggests otherwise ...

The term you seek in 'grow up' and before you throw another stone - take a LONG, hard look in the mirror ...

What exactly do you mean, when you suggest that almost everyone you disagree with, is protected? You often suggest that I’m protected, when we debate.

Is it an attack or an accusation?

He thinks his replies so accurate and genius that moderation feels the need to "protect" you from them. World of his own. The original nutter on the bus.  :chuckle:

He can - and will demonstrate the 'protection' at a suitable  moment

The only nutter on the bus, most of the time.

It’s a funny expression because I also remember TomT suggesting I was protected too. I could never really work out why they thought I was particularly precious or why you or any other moderator would pull me a favour.
