Question regarding hotels

Suppose an American man is communicating with an ethnic Central Asian woman from the stans, and they decide to have a vacation together in Turkey.  Can both parties share a hotel room without any problems or could the woman be refused because of her origin / religion?  I know this is the case in pretty much all Muslim countries. 

I hope Leslied can shed some light on this since he is a resident and knows Turkey quite well. 

I appreciate any insight.

There is no simple answer to your question. 

Does the lady adopt a Muslim or western style of dress? 
Are you proposing to stay in a tourist or family run hotel?

You will have no problems staying in a tourist hotel, if the lady adopts a western dress style.  Please note that the hotel will require both passports for registration - that is a legal requirement.  Tourist hotels register double rooms to unmarried couples all the time.  There is no legal requirement that you should be married in Turkey to share a double room.

However if your lady is obviously Muslim you could encounter social disapproval.  Hotels are allowed to set there own guest requirements and a family run hotel could refuse to register you in a double room.

Thanks Leslie.  She dresses western so I guess I can stick to a larger hotel and be fine. 

I've noticed there is a lot of grey area regarding religion and the different ethnicities in the FSU. 

Im also communicating with an ethnic Tatar from Sevastopol currently living in Kiev which actually looks Russian.

You will be surprise how easy is to get a holiday Visa... to Greece. Everytime I go to Kos and Rodos islands.... they are full of Eastern ladies on Holiday!

A travel agent there.... knows how!

Both Cyprus ( the official EU part) - Russians apply online - MUST use Word 2007/13 - visa within hours and Greece - as Wiz points out - are quite easy for Visas

She is from Uzbekistan but was born in Tajikistan
