L'viv - Little Paris

Christmas Eve in L'viv

We will be in L'viv for a few days in a couple of months time when we return to Chernivtsi, Ukraine, but thought this was quite an interesting article on Live Journal.

Something of interest to those who are visiting in the near future.

I can recommend many of the links/locations. In fact with the exception of the Aquapark and Armenian Museum I believe I have seen all of them.

But there is something about L'viv that no matter what you see the city is well worth visiting. ENJOY!

Does the city have a firing range and the ability to fire an AK-47 and other Soviet weapons?  ;D
But there is also the reality of Venezuela, a very nice democracy I note

When I was still in working... and I was selling holidays, I had created a web site for Ukraine and have posted a lot of information. When I retired I decided to leave the site live, FOR INFORMATION ONLY, to help anybody who wanted to learn about Ukraine.

Take a look and you may find it useful, as I also have plenty of photo albums.

Let's hope that Manny has not banned the url, just in case I steal his members.

I've been in L'viv about 4 times, mostly just passing through on my way to crimea by car.

Beautiful city "old european" style. Cobblestone roads etc. If you are in the neighbourhood, visitting is a must :)

A couple years back I visited the link to the old site of Wiz - it was interesting. Today it would be seen as an 'amateur site' but the information was solid. I say give Wiz his due and let us see the site again.
