Cleaning Time (((

The wife is back tomorrow , it means no sleep tonight I will have to work through the night on my hands and knees scrubbing the floor so clean you can eat your dinner off it, NOTHING else is acceptable!

Desks , tables, rugs must be spotless, not a fluff any where NOTHING  else is acceptable !

No doubt as soon as she walks in she will be checking my work and probably re doing it all!!

My wife is a 24/7 cleaning machine! There is always time for some cleaning..mother in law will be back during the summer so its going to be pretty hectic.. Im going to install a industrial washing machine ready cos every thing gets washed over and over again I will probably take a few weeks off to avoid the clattering of cups, cutlery and the washing machine spinning 24/7 all week, if all the washing is done she will go do the neighbours I can understand why some men commit suicide

Why is it all liberals and lefties have double standards ? So its ok for a women to do Just cleaning cos its what they are made to do?

It's a variant of "bringing home the bacon". See the Michael caine film "A Shock to the System" for examples.

Sadly we both have to bring home the bacon , my wife works nearly the same hours as me about 15 a day 7 days a week (( And there are two kids, a cat and hamster to look after and clean, sometime I think I'm just a slave. I have nightmare at night time about being branded with a hot Iron, we are both just waiting for our freedom and I have no idea when that day will come..

NEVER heard of it used in such a context and couldn't see it in urban dictionary, either ... although they do list some more meanings for the term that are unrepeatable

If there is one thing SC and I can fall out over it is cleaning .....  She HATES doing it  - but nobody can do it as well as her

I gave up even trying and she doesn't try to remember the router passwords for the apartments..  But she knows the pin numbers of the bank cards ....

My wife doesn't expect a gleaming house when I am in charge of it.
I'm not particularly messy and tend to keep things somewhat clean
as I go. If I spill something, I wipe it up.

My wife went home to visit Mamma for a little longer than a month.
My job expectation was to keep most of the plants alive and not have
any evidence of wild orgies. 

The plants lived (barely) and I didn't have any wild orgies, so I met
or exceeded expectations. Angel Eyes gave the entire house a thorough
cleaning when she got home just like she did before she left.

That's pretty much how it works when my wife visits the folks. In fact she harasses me to make sure I've watered plants.

But cleaning top to bottom before she comes back? Nope. Not my job. Like cutting the grass, taking out rubbish, fixing stuff about the place or replacing a roof tile isn't her job.
