It's a clear difference between Russian elections and those held in the United states.  Here in the United states a potential criminal is allowed to head the democratic ticket, and government agencies help to cover up any wrong doing.

BIL told me yesterday he was warned not to sign the Navalny signature pledge thing or lose his job, his employer being a governmental office and he wasn't the only one....

In Russia you can vote for anyone as long as it's Putin.
