This is a necessary move but the current announcement is just the start of a negotiation process between the state and citizens.

Of course it is a problem because, as currently structured, it will mess with people's lives in a way that is hard to manage. My guess is that the final plan will be to delay the onset a little to give folks time to adjust their lives and get used to the idea. Also, the ages will change a little too. In the end though the retirement age will increase significantly, it has to.

I also think that this move will kick start the private pension business in the RF so that those who wish can plan their own retirement finances.
