Pyongyang is trying to woo Russians to book a holiday in North Korea.

North Korea has opened a travel agency in Russia, promoting itself to tourists as "safer than an evening walk in London" (which is probably correct).

The tour company, which is based in Moscow, promises a "full immersion" in the culture.

Departures are from Vladivostok. A 1:20 flight.

I'm actually quite interested to do this.

The culture, way of life and political system of this country, hidden from the eyes of the public, have always been of particular interest. With NKOREAN you can see everything with your own eyes!

In addition to the atmosphere of the communist system, a trip to North Korea allows tourists from different countries to enjoy the beautiful pristine nature, try various dishes of Korean cuisine and even go skiing or relaxing by the sea.

ISIS followers would have difficult time in NK.  Anyone seen praying several times a day (and not to the glorious leader) would be targeted as an enemy.  No such thing as an imam in a Communist society.  That person would be sent immediately to a labor camp or shot with a missile.   :evilgrin0002:

Actually, I think you should go hiking in the hills around Iran. You can bring a picnic basket
and camp out, the hills are beautiful I've heard. You can also go hiking in the mountains
of Afghanistan or Pakistan, by all means bring the family.

It maybe safe for Russians but not for people from the USA. They put us in jail as soon as we arrive. I sure the last two USA dudes that went to jail as soon as they got off the plane will never forget the trip. Well it could be said they were the guest of the Korean government. They surely got to see the atmosphere of the communist system and enjoy the beautiful pristine nature of a work camp. I do not know Brits but this US passport does not want this kind of adventure.  Have fun Manny. I hope I do not hear a story about you on the news.

Please note they have killed top leaders in this country for womanizing. I am sure I would not want to bride hunt there. They have jailed people for taking pictures so maybe you should leave you cell phone home and surely do not bring a camera. One USA dude is still servicing ten years of hard labor because he took a propaganda poster as souvenir.
3) There has been no "threat" to invade Ukraine. The US invented that and fed it to a complicit media.

NK have nothing to fear from the mouth on a stick in the US. Not now China has guaranteed their security.  :coffeeread:

NK would be a very tough nut to crack, unless you didn't mind if a million or
so South Koreans were killed. (China doesn't care but we do) Seoul has over
10 million people and is within artillery and rocket range of the border.

I'm sure that there are generals in a Pentagon basement with a plan revised
weekly to invade, but the South Korean civilians would get annihilated. China
factors in, but not to the extent that many think.

You people need to get off the US news.

China has guaranteed the security of North Korea as long as they dont strike first. That means no Uncle Sam invasion.  :coffeeread:

It is an inspired notion to fill the place with Russian tourists, because then Russia has a duty to protect its citizens.

US bellyaching over North Korea is just that. China has rendered them impotent and there will soon be negotiations brokered by Russia and China. Andrew explained why >here<.

China isn't the factor that you think it is, it's a million South Korean deaths that
nobody wants. China will have many of the same problems trying to survive in
the mountains that they had in the 1950's but this time there isn't a single grain
of rice to live on that they don't carry with them.

I don't think that the US is going to invade North Korea, (and I sincerely hope
we don't). I could make a list of reasons not to do it and China would be on the
list but they wouldn't make the top 40.

China has guaranteed the security of North Korea as long as they dont strike first. That means no Uncle Sam invasion.  :coffeeread:

China can put a life time guarantee on a concrete drill bit, but that doesn't mean I
don't fry 3 of those life time bits in an hour on ONE hole two inches deep.
