Moving on
« on: August 24, 2017, 09:44:46 PM »
Elena and I separated after 11 years of marriage recently. My daughters are independent after living with us for so long and have 'gotten out the nest'. Completely amicable, we sold the family home and my proceeds enabled me to buy another house in Melbourne outright.

Neighbours are good, fishing trip with these guys happening soon.

Elena and myself have no issues about speaking, she calls and asks how I am going and vice versa.

It was a wonderful union, but people drift away from each other.

Sorry to hear this tonton. At least it ended without the dramatics that the laws of the countries encourage.

Thanks guys. She'll come over for a fish meal during the week. Hard to deal with but all ok. At least I can put Pink Floyd on high as she hates that music!

Seems your life has had a bit of stressful events of late.
I too am no stranger to life altering events, but life always seems to correct itself along the way.

Heres hoping he can bring some good news soon.

Sorry to hear the news, T, but the silver lining is its being done sensibly without hysterics and lawyers getting rich by the sound of it.

China is nice at this time of year.  :whist11:

Elena and I separated after 11 years of marriage recently.

It was a wonderful union, but people drift away from each other.

Sorry to hear the bad news and I wish you to get back to normal life very soon.

That is what happened to me and my ex after 10 years of marriage.
We both decided to divorce very amicably and save solicitors money to pay for our two son's education.

After 37 years we are still very good friends, meet frequently on family gatherings and
my ex and current Mrs wiz... have become good friends.

All the best for he future.

Sorry to hear, although, as these things go, it seems like you have the best of the worst type of situation.  That's for the best in the end, if things must end.

Crap,

I am sorry to hear about this.

When I got out of my first marriage it was like a 100lb weight was
lifted off my chest and I could breath again. I went out right away
and did a bunch of stupid stuff and very briefly dated a too young
silicon enhanced gal from the wrong side of the tracks. Nothing that
I would recommend.

I wish I had some profound words to say, or some cup half full, grass
is greener slogan or even some comic relief, but I don't.

I hope things turn up for you soon.

Sorry to hear about the split.  Your union lasted longer than mine. Some people at a later point start to consider how their future life will be like if they still remain with their spouse and, for some, they decide that they want a change instead.   :-\

Sorry to hear this, you have had a rough go the last little bit.
Hopefully great things ahead. Nice it was amicable as most know that is rare.

Keep us up to date on future plans.
