As way of reference the winds indicated or projected would put the storm at a Tropical Disturbance, somewhere around 50 mph. It seems to have been very fast moving and intense.

I can't really imagine winds that intense. When it's 10 to 20 mph here it's more than enough.

The wind gusts were 110 Kph / 70 Mph in Moscow - the loss of life was due to falling trees and flying debris

The yacht is moving - so the apparent wind ( how it feels ) is SO much less !

The World Sailing Speed Record ( over 500m) is just under SEVENTY Miles per hour ...

The 'Hurricane' can be seen @ 1:50 and it is worth watching @ 2:30 - when a Mum and young daughter narrowly miss being crushed by a falling tree - other shocking moments feature a huge road sign falling over and a Kiosk sliding along then falling over and it's occupant emerging ..
