General Election

It had to happen, Theresa May call a snap General Election. Labour will be destroyed. Brexit will get a mandate.

So Theresa May has called a General Election for June 8th.

Naturally the "Tory" Moby won't be voting Tory. He is voting for a man with zero chance whose seat is contested by a bloke dressed as a fish finger.  :chuckle:

But most sensible people will vote for Theresa and we expect another 5 years of Tory to see us over the Brexit niggles.

The £ jumped on the back of the announcement.  :rouble-smile:  :money:

The Lib Dems will get a few more seats but I'm afraid to say, your one man crusade will do very little to stop the inevitable.

Let's see.  May wants a bigger majority and based her call on the gap in the polls with Labour .

*I*  expect the Lib Dems will do MUCH better than the polls suggest and MY aim is to make May have to form a coalition govt.

Btw, can a homeless person vote?

Who is 'homeless' ?

Not that you even have the legislation re voting correct ..

Btw, can a homeless person vote?

That's a good question... (I don't know the answer though.)

p.s. Googled.  You can register to vote if you have no fixed address ... To register, you must be resident in the UK and 16 years or over and you must be a British or Irish citizen.

Did I mention legislation? So, you can register to vote. Even better, why don't you stand as a candidate for the LibDims? You can get on your soap box and wax lyrical. Still going to lose your deposit.  :chuckle:

As it goes, I was invited to a party function this afternoon to meet Theresa May. But they sent the email at 2pm to arrive other side of town at 4pm with photo ID so there wasn't enough time.

Last option is LibLabSNP Progressive Alliance.

I think any objective analysis of the past few months would show that a GE was inevitable.

Will it change the outcome of the election, i.e a Tory landslide? Do you want to put money on THAT, eh?
