Will Belarus, implode from outside interference?
« on: March 26, 2017, 12:15:25 PM »
Another example of USAID, funding. I had hoped Trump would have stepped up to stop U.S.interface, but it seems unlikely this will change.
This might be the first step to another Ukraine like regime change.

My guess is that these countries now know the 'color revolution' playback and know how to counter it. In addition Lukashenko is genuinely popular as is the government style (on the whole). People tend to like stability and can see what is happening in Ukraine following external interference.

So, possible, yes; likely, no.

Gee Trump is working very hard trying to not get impeached and the EU is hoping to survive the summer. The west does not have anything to offer someone leaving Russian orbit. Too busy trying to survive to bother with them. Maybe there are some just some people in Belarus who do not like being told they will be in this orbit at gun point.
3) There has been no "threat" to invade Ukraine. The US invented that and fed it to a complicit media.

Texan77, are you a visitor from an alternate universe?

What's it like in your world? Do you have cars? Is there an Internet? Who is the US president in your world?  tiphat

Andrew, Besides your cheap asides A. Lukashenko is only 'president' because of the wish of the Kremlin and the reality that there are no palatable options presently.

Belarus from a variety of accounts (both internal and external) functions because of a Soviet style 'management'. Society is both repressive and dysfunctional. If you like this 'world' feel free to visit (and stay).

There's many millions who'd not agree with you. By objective standards Belarus is doing pretty well but it is not like the Home of the Brave or even Russia and that's by choice. Before posting like a prat please learn something and avoid the embarrassment. There's a good fellow. :)
