If we set aside the likelihood of 'accident' caused by poor management and carelessness there's no good reason to suppose Russian involvement. There's a possibility of LPR/DPR action but strategically that'd have been a mistake. Ask me and I will write about why, although the error in strategy should be blindingly obvious when looking at the manner in which the Kievan regime is framing the event.

The real, first order, beneficiaries of this event, accident or not, live in rump Ukraine.
