I have just acquired some website content from a bloke who closed his vintage websites down. Among it was scans of the 1977 UK Lada brochure.

Fun for me as not only is my wife from the town they are made in, but a pal of mine had the last Lada dealership in Manchester when they pulled out of the UK market, and at one time I used to buy up old Ladas for export to Russia.

Takes me back... I had a Lada 1500 estate in the late 70'S - blue like the advert you posted above. Gave 500 pounds for it. The mechanicals were very rugged - engine gear box etc. The electrics were fooking useless! Ended up replacing most with Smiths parts. It was surprisingly good off road and could pull a ski boat. Of course it rusted. All cheap cars did then.
