Think someone should read the original article - in Russian ...https://www.vedomosti.ru/finance/articles/2017/08/24/730906-krupneishii-rossiiskii-bank

THERE you will find that the banks concerned have NOT been cut off by SWIFT - but the software vendor providing them SWIFT access. They can amend their systems to connect to SWIFT directly...

I'm honestly surprised by this, I wouldn't have thought they'd get anything done ahead of schedule however as this is a point that Putin has to prove, it's evident that they're hammering it home to ensure it's completed to a high standard and ahead of schedule. Very good.

My inlaws in Crimea said that the Russian Gov't promised to have bridge open for road-traffic before summer-season starts.

"The ( road) bridge is expected to be opened by December 2018 for testing and vehicular traffic, and to be fully operational by June 2019"

The rail bridge has suffered more design issues and is scheduled to open by the end of 2019

Even Putin says this

So, I checked the Russian pages of Wikipedia.

Road: All support structures have been done, all pillars in the sea & bridge-deck.

Asphalt: 9 of 19 sections have been done.

Still need to start: Light poles & painting the road signs.

yes, it looks like the car-bridge won't be finished in 2018, much to do yet!

Train: Support structures are at 85% done. bridge-deck about the same.

Train-tracks: not yet started

Lighting and other train infrastructure: Not started.

It seems the motorway part will open way before the season, actually in Jan-2018.

Your MASSIVE mistake is quoting from 'prvada' rather than a specialist construction site....  You could have even visited www.most.life

Do YOU know anyone working on the bridge ?   *I* do ... They laughed when I pointed out they should have finished work.

It's already Jan 2nd and 'your' Russia Feed Dec 2017 'deadline' passed and I missed the 'news' that the road bridge opened ....

FACTS - from the most.life bridge construction site...

"2018-2019
By the end of 2018 the of the motorway will be completed and the traffic can use the bridge and in by the end of 2019 - the railway section."

Yesterday it said : Finished this month. Since its jan-2018, thats where I got Jan from.

Title of the article quoted: Russia says Crimean bridge to be opened to motor vehicles this month.

You and Moby I suppose too, are confused between "Rail bridge" (Finished in Dec-2018) and Motorway for cars&busses (Finished this month).
