World Day of Rage Protests.

Russian Foreign Ministry warns of possible extremist attacks on September 30.

MOSCOW, September 29 /TASS/. The Russian Foreign Ministry does not rule out that extremist attacks could be launched against Russians in some countries on September 30 in response to extremists’ call to hold a so-called World Day of Rage Protests.

"Moscow has paid attention to calls made by a number of organizations, including Islamic ones, to hold World Day of Rage Protests on September 5 together with Friday prayers against a new wave of military hostilities in Aleppo. It cannot be ruled out that extremist elements in some countries can use this event for launching attacks against Russia and staging provocations against its citizens," the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.
Maria Zakharova has urged Washington to share information about the risk of terrorist attacks that may be staged in Russia.
"I would like to address Washington with a request to immediate share all relevant information at its disposal, if it has evidence of plans for terrorist acts or likely attacks against Russian cities that (US Department of State spokesman John) Kirby had mentioned, and any information on possible provocations against Russian nationals," Zakharova told a news briefing.
"Otherwise, it may only be construed as an act of willful non-disclosure," the Russian diplomat stressed.
On Wednesday, US State Department spokesman John Kirby said one of the consequences of the war in Syria could be extremists’ "attacks against Russian interests, perhaps even Russian cities." "And Russia will continue to send troops home in body bags," he said. Commenting on the statement, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said the United States had in fact invited terrorists to use weapons against Russia.

Press release on recommendations to Russian citizens staying or living abroad.

We advise Russians staying or living abroad to take reasonable precautions and refrain from visiting places where “wrath and protest” may be directed against their dignity and safety tomorrow.
