Mad idea for travel to Turkey
« on: September 17, 2016, 03:21:30 AM »
Thinking of travelling to Georgia and onto Turkey - Sveta wants to see Tbilisi and Georgian food and we both like Turkey

Anyone know anything about insuring a Russian registered vehicle and getting decent vehicle insurance ?

I know one can buy insurance at borders - but they tend to be third party and very limited cover.

We have chartered a yacht and can get buses back to the car at each port

It's cheaper to fly / hire a car - but we can carry so much more stuff and visit folk in the Russian Caucus mountains on the way back ...
