Aeroflot Service Classes
« on: July 18, 2016, 12:21:58 PM »
Aeroflot has the following classes of service from New York's JFK to Moscow:
Economy class-Promo  example price: Sold Out
Economy class-Budget  example price: $405 US
Economy class-Value  example price: $455 US
Economy class-Premium  example price: $1555 US
Comfort class-Value  example price: $485 US
Comfort class-Premium  example price: $2778 US
Business class-Value  example price: $1932 US
Business class-Premium  example price: $2872 US

There is a huge differential in the prices. I have show examples for one flight. The "Comfort class-Value" value is tempting, because the Comfort class seats look far more comfortable, but I am assuming there is a catch.

Does anyone know the different between Comfort class-Value and Comfort class-Premium?
Does anyone have any further tips here?

Lou

I think you will find that the differences will be in respect of ticketing rules. Comfort Class is what some airlines call Premium Economy.

Here's your home in the skies: http://www.aeroflot.ru/ru-en/comfort_onboard as you can see from the 360 degree image it is a cabin ahead of cattle class and behind Business.

...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!

I always traveled Economy, the seat in Comfort class is exactly the same, you just get to take more/heavier luggage and access to business lounges etc. etc.

Inside the plane however, everyone sits either in Economy, or in Business class.

It might be different on long-haul flights, but I doubt it.

Many of the advantages they speak of, on the aeroflot website are also on Economy seats (except the USB).

Have flown promo, economy and value - but on different international routes...

Cannot recall any differences that mattered...

Far more important - what type of plane...

The new A350 and Boeing 777's are MUCH nicer to fly in and seem to give less jet lag

If you like a drink - alcoholic... check if this route isn't one that excludes such variety..  :o

Thanks for the replies. I saw the same descriptions on the Aeorflot web site as andrewfi. The "Comfort" class, only offered on the new Boeing 777 flights, is a different seat with a different configuration (fewer across the body of the plane) and more room. I am just suspicious that the price for the seat can be $485 US and $2778 US. I suspected that the difference is the fare rules. It is a big difference.

Markje, the newest 777 has three cabins.

Sorry, I meant Boeing 787 - Dreamliner - makes a huge difference - as I always feel fresher after a flight on one of these modern aircraft.

Comfort class exists on long-haul flights ONLY.

If you would have needed to change the date or the itinerary of your travel, or return your ticket - then you surely would have noticed the difference.
