With modern day technology,  One would think this mystery would have been solved?

Hard to do 100 years after the  fact.

Not easy with the similar event in Russia a few years ago.

I was under the impression that it was a meteor. Does any sensible person think it was an anachronistic nuclear bomb or alien space craft?

I read online about this incident a few years ago. Fascinating, but since so much time has passed, it's hard to know what it was exactly.

Actually, it isn't to difficult at all. ;)

All one must do is rule out the improbable or impossible. What is left is likely to be the reality.

That means we can rule out spaceships, nuclear weapons, magic and time travel.
We DO know that meteorites behave as the Tunguska event was described and we DO know that meteorites would explode above the surface of the earth and we DO know what a big explosion above the surface of the earth looks like.

So, ruling out the improbable and impossible, we are left with an event that fits with what we already know: a meteorite that was larger than common hit the earth's atmosphere and disintegrated above the snowy ground of Tunguska.

We can't solve the mystery but we do have a solution.
