Project Fear
« on: June 24, 2016, 12:34:31 PM »
Today was one of those rare occasions when the elite did not fool the people.

Take the Stock Market and Sterling catastrophe

On Monday 20th June  the FTSE100 index opened at 6127  Today it closed at 6138  Up about 0.2% on the week.
I reckon the index will rise 1 or 2 % tomorrow, so the FTSE will actually end the week in POSITIVE territory

The same with Sterling on 17th June GBP/USD was 1.42.  Today it closed at 1.37 - roughly 3% down.

As I write the DOW is off 3%  No big deal.  It falls more than that on some Yellen announcements...

The data are from Reuters.

Of course the FTSE and GBP/USD was pushed up DELIBERATELY by market trade. So they could clean up on the bets placed on the futures market.  Traders make money from volatility.

So Financial Catastrophe   Just the city boys making money  tiphat

Some sheeple (like Moby) still believe in the Financial Meltdown Prophicies.

Sensible people think of "chicken little"  running around screaming the sky is falling

Absolutely correct...

Actually, there is little difference in the markets and the £ over the weeks trading... as we say, +/- = 0

My 3xShort positions were both up 17% today.  One can either titter with one's beret-wearing, chain-smoking European film critic friends about the Proles not voting "the right way" or one can roll with the punches.

Exactly the analogy I used today when discussing it with my wife. The dollar closed today a tad less than we have seen of late. We worked out our next payment, 2500 items cost us £200 more in tooling and tad extra in shipping. But we make £10 each on them net. So we wipe our mouth for 20-40 items from 2500. Who cares?  :-*

I looked today the DOW fell some 611 +/- points, that is big. If one looks at a week being Monday > Friday I think it is down some 1.6% over this week. If Yellen farts the chance is it might go up or down even more over a week.

It is amazing, that, after the politicians were banging on about the loss of trade with the EU, and the US, The US, Canada, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Holland and ze Germans, have ALL stated categorically, that they are the UK's best friends/Trading partners, and nothing will change that relationship..

They are apparently already in contact with the UK government trying to arrange meetings a.s.a.p. to make agreements which will support/improve said relationships...

PROJECT FEAR was just a load of bullshit, and utter bollox.. :coffeeread:

Give it a week or so for the dust to settle, and you may see financial improvements which may benefit you with minimising any potential losses...

Democracy isnt convenient for Moby.

At least he will not be able to sneak ANOTHER woman in for £0 under the radar using EU rules now.

What clowns Moby and his cross-dressing, rainbow-hued mates are.  :chuckle:

Oh dear,

Moby and [ soon ] 600 k plus voters  are asking for a 2nd referendum and a pause to Brexit - using Democracy

Thought I'd use RT for a change

We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum.

And if we voted to leave by 62%, you would have another one asking for a 70% minimum.  :Zzzzsleep:

If you get a minute check out Bruce's TR - Its not quite finished, however its still a pretty good read IMHO.

Ask Away.  Britain is a free country.  If you get enough signatures (and you will) it will be raised in parliament.  Where it will be immediately voted down.  Same with Sturgeon's new referendum proposal.  The government needs to support these proposals for them to have any chance of succeeding.  Boris is not as daft as Dave.  He will not entertain ANY new referendum proposal until after 2020.

The political elite in Eire held repeated referenda until they got the result they wanted.  The UK is not Eire.

The political elite are running scared now.

The Islington "champagne socialists" are history because they ceased to represent the views of the people who elect them.  The working class in the north and midlands voted decisively for Brexit.

The Tory "toffs" who tried to banish Brexit supporting members (A.K.A "the Turnip Taliban") will find themselves deselected. Starting, I hope with the MP for my old constituency - George Osborne.
