Crimea Is the New Hip Place to Start a New Life
« on: April 06, 2016, 04:01:29 PM »
I can think of a few advantages choosing Crimea to start a new life.
Sure the summer can get a bit hot, but the winter is much milder than Moscow.

I haven't kept up on Crimea... did they fix the money/banking issues?  Internet? Power transmission? Cell networks?

IIRC Sterlitz the translator in Odessa, his Mother lives in Crimea - wonder how he and his mom are doing...  not as easy to drive to from Odessa these days I suspect.

Which military did he join?  The last I had heard about him he was in Odessa and he was pro-Ukrainian.  I hope he's okay!

Crimea has always been a Hip place to live.. Its a pity more people don't know about the place Im sure Russia could make a killing with a tourist industry there..I would rather be in Crimea than some skanky Spanish beach :sick0012:

My wife is growing tired of living in Evpatoria every year for a few weeks. We go there for My inlaws.

Perhaps I will book a hotel next year and not live with my MIL 24/7 during my vacation  :chuckle:
I already know the arguments between mother/daughter tho, thats why I havent offered it before yet.

Glad to hear he is fine.  If you have contact with him perhaps you could invite him to post here?  It would be great to hear his perspective again.
