I'm not sure you may be 'getting' this , Steveboy..

The current guy is defending a previous guy for possible corruption and a pro european govt supporting faction helped bring his govt down..

Moldova also signed an association agreement with the European Union in 2014, despite Kremlin opposition......  :coffeeread:

I'd be very surprised if there was any substantial change in relations with the enclaves no matter who ends up forming a government. The enclaves issue is a longer term and bigger issue than a single government is going to change absent some game changing event such as a revolution or war.

From my recollection the issue of Transniestra in particular is a bone of contention for even those Moldavians who are sympathetic toward Russia.

At best one might hope for an improvement in relations such that crossing the border is not such a big problem. That is to say that commercial and economic relationships are allowed to improve.

There's a bunch of unhappy people in Moldova at the moment.
Some have a difficult time grasping that pro Russian mentality is real and can be a better alternative to what they have now.

Becoming part of the EU, is not everyone's preference.
Cramming pro EU , government into office reminds one of Ukraine.
Read too this morning, Georgia is warming up to Russian relations.

What's happening in Moldova, is much like what took place in Ukraine.
Only the roles are reversed. Seeing this it becomes clear that some feel closer ties to Moscow, than the west.

The West Is About to Lose Moldova

Moldovans are rising up against corruption. But that doesn’t mean they’re embracing the West.

EU and US have been chucking money at the place for years. Pretty much every sentient being in the country knows it. And yet the place is still a pauper's paradise. The money simply has not stuck to the sides.

Those sentient beings, when they look cross the border to Ukraine (where folks used to go in order to make their fortunes) and to Russia, from where many have family and friends it is not entirely surprising that folks are going to start wondering if Russia was, after all, as bad as they had been told.

If one wants to seek an example of where 'things' have gotten better quickly then Russia is pretty much a poster child for the idea. One does not look to the EU and certainly not the US if one wants to see rapid improvement in living standards, corporate governance, national pride or jurisprudence.
...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!

$30 by Bus St petersburg to Bender :) Its a very interesting experience and would recommend to anyone, you get to travel through Ukraine and Belarus, stop off in some forest for a Barbee and a beer with the locals. The bus is just about held together buy some bind a twine :)
The good thing is you can pretty well take unlimited luggage for $10. I need to take some things back to Moldova:)

Down side is you have to pay the Ukrainian scum bag border controls a $20 bribe not to open your bags..

Isn't blood used as fertiliser?

I hope that your cabbages receive only normal fertiliser that can be shop bought.
