The definitely need to ban ALL swords  (:)

And ban cars as well.  After all many more people die in traffic accidents then die by gunfire or swords.   :)

In Netherlands and most Western Europe, they did. Its illegal to have one 'use-ready' in your home.

It can even be hard to get a longer type of cutting knife for cooking , same class of blade.

  The ban of swords did not save the victims from the murderer???  Although, it being illegal to have a sword 'use ready' is not a ban.

  I do not know specifically of Netherlands or Sweden, but "battle ready" swords are very easy to get via the internet, look up 'kultofathena'.  There are many sword collectors world wide.
