USS Theodore Roosevelt Flees the Persian Gulf
« on: October 10, 2015, 04:06:24 PM »
Hmmm... they are going because a missile not aimed at the carrier, but aimed ANYWHERE else in the world could be 'lucky' enough to go off course and hit them.

Yeah, right, and my arse is made of bread and I sh!t strawberry jam!

My guess?
USN capital ships will not go within 1500Km of any Russian coastline for a while. That's a long way away.

Remember that ship in the Black Sea a while back - got buzzed by Russian planes?
Well, the rumour was that the ships battle computers and sensors went offline whilst the planes were around.

Of course the world was sceptical and the US stomped upon the story.
But, the other day, the USA 'fessed up that they were being lit up by radar from sources they could not find.
Then when those cruise missiles were launched, the US had no idea about what was happening until just before impact.
In addition we now know that the Russians have deployed equipment designed to not only blind radars but to damage them at the same time.
We now know that they have deployed EMP equipment for battlefield use.
We now know that they can produce holograms of equipment and they have a cute little device (looks like a bonsai tank) that goes round generating clouds designed to hide the real devices.
We now know that the Russians are testing (have deployed - can't remember) a light device designed to make it impossible to see what the user of the tool is doing - it is a dazzler of some kind, not laser based. Judging from the heat sinks on the pic I saw the thing makes a LOT of light.

So, I am rather wondering whether that ship in the Black Sea was affected as rumours suggested?

Another aircraft carrier will be replacing it.
This was talked about back in June long before Russia was making their presence known.

This might sound daft,  but that's good.

I'd hardly think the story got 'stomped' on - it's still being 'resurrected' by the likes of you  :chuckle:

Moby, I am complimented that you consider my forum posts to be the equal, in terms of reach, of the U.S mass news/entertainment media. You and I both know it isn't the case so why bother trying to make yet another puerile point - ah, yes, you are still couch surfing (at your mother's now?) still out of work and bored shitless - that's why.

Turns out that the T. Roosevelt was actually leaving the Mediterranean because they ran out of money to keep her there - at least according to one Dick Cheney, former U.S vice president.

That's hilarious    I wonder if it's real?

I found out it isn't. Something a Spanish radio station put together.

Makes for a good laugh but I doubt very much that it is real.   Were there actually two battle ships with the  carrier?  Really??

I thought the last battleship got decommission about 20-30 years ago. Steven Seagal was a cook on it or something.

That's probably 90% true with the effect of the sequester is having on the US government budget.

Carriers stationed on overseas for extended periods are often called back to a shipyard for needed repairs and refitting.

How do I determine which parts of the great book you sent me are untrue then?
Surely its all true isn't it?

U.S Approaches, But Does Not Yet Reach PEAK MADNESS
« Reply #14 on: October 12, 2015, 12:15:06 PM »
Here's a story that would be insane if it were 90% false.

The U.S having decided that training terrorists was no longer profitable to do so 5 trained for $500,000,000 have decided to start bombing terrorists in Syria with pallet-loads of weapons and ammunition.

50 tons of arms and ammunition on 111 pallets have been air dropped in the middle of the desert in the hope that the right kind of terrorists will pick them up and decide to point them at the wrong kind of terrorists.

I just can't be arsed to link to the original sources, it isn't worth it. You USAians, YOU made this YOU allowed this insanity to happen and YOU are doing nothing to stop it.

It isn't that this will change anything in the war of terrorist on terrorist on government. OK a few more Christians will be massacred, a few more virgin girls sold into slavery but, in the scheme of things those tragedies make no difference. Your government has descended into insanity. Your leaders having understood that their evil plans have been thwarted now seek solely to increase the price, increase the volume of human tragedy, increase their level of evil.
